This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Most people from what I can see regardless of what you think enjoy putting in the bad outcomes in one thread and the good outcomes in another. Seeing how large both of those threads are (Have you even glanced at how large the two of themselves are?) the forum would probably explode from the size of the thread and it would be even more pointless than it already is.
Of course I don't post in either of the threads too often because I only post there when I feel I've accomplished something significant enough. It usually coincides with what I post on my tumblr as well.
Actually nevermind on the size thing it would only jump to 3000+ pages if they were combined, but I think a lot of people would get pissed off if they were combined considering how many people seem to be against the unsticking of the threads so far.
Now I'm not picky about the stickies myself. They were convenient and fun but not something omg this is terrible! Most of the time I'm posting here it's answering questions and posting future information and contributing to discussions like these with the occasional news tidbit.

We're talking about efficiency, not preferences.
Assume you spend all day spamming a hard dungeon for a very rare drop.
If it drops, it's an accomplishment. If it doesn't, it's a failure.

Once again such a decision falls on the community to make. If such a suggestion is something you want, have that be it's own discussion and let the community chime into it.

Yeah let's make others feel even worse once they see [S]that someone else got the drop[/S] what others have accomplished while they wasted their time.
My point is that if there aren't "more important" stickies that would normally be overshadowed by more popular ones, why remove them? It's not like Mabi Talk was cluttered.

For the people who are complaining "THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM BEING STICKIED. IT SHOULD OF NEVER CHANGED."
Those topics weren't even sticked for the first couple of months when Nation started.
You people are all being overreacting ostriches.

Stupid change, change it back, dumb reasons for removing them. Nuff' said. Except the server status thread, that is fucking pointless.
16 pages in this thread is reason enough that it was a dumb change. Swallow your pride and re-sticky them. We all make mistakes.

I can see the reasons for unstickying the threads but I feel the overall community concensus from this thread alone says a lot.

I'm laughing my ass off at this thread
What's going to be even funnier is now that you guys are getting your way, most of these will continue to be inactive and clutter.
You guys remind me of a child who leaves his toy to collect dust in a corner, but when mommy decides to put it away you suddenly want it.

Accomplishments, Failures, Character Stats, Tumblr.
Which of those were ever inactive and clutter?

We still haven't gotten our way though...

Ashi said she's gonna re-sticky them
eventually, I don't know when, but I suppose it's also a test.

Perhaps "post what you're listening to here" in the entertainment section?
It got posted in occasionally, but not enough to warrant keeping it stickied.

He's talking about 4 specific threads: Character stats, Post your accomplishments, post your failures in Mabinogi talk, and the Tumblr pictures thread in the bean rua.
The other threads in other sections were destickied for the right reasons.

Only in Mabination does such a topic as this garner so much discussion and debate.

Better to have a discussion about it then no discussion. Also, of all people, I don't get why you care so much about this place when you were so up and arms about the mods and left us for like 6 months. Why care now?
