Let's face it, Healers suck in Mabinogi.
Running around with a Healing Wand as your main weapon makes no sense. Yeah, Party Healing is amazing now, but switching back to dual wield makes you lose all that precious MP. What's the point then?
Healers need more skills.
For one, I think a skill like some auto-resurrection to a fallen party member would be a great addition to a Healer's arsenal. Think Auto-Revive from FFX or Revive from the Tales series.
Will probably never happen as it would steal money away from Nexon-- people wouldn't buy many Advanced Feathers this way. However, it'd be such a great skill.
Also, Healers need some sort of offensive magic with the Healing Wand. Even the Combat Wand got its own offensive, Blaze. It's silly to run around with a useless wand that only heals.
Thoughts?

Genesis. Judgement. Indignation.

Can't you still use blaze with any wand?

They need some sort of life drain remake of the skill for wand. Maybe Stealing enemy health healing other party members?

Damage is weaker if not using a combat wand

Touche. I forgot about that.
However, the damage difference is great, especially now in G11. You wouldn't wanna use it with any other wand.
Blaze is meant for the Combat Wand.

PHOTON!
But yeah, there should be some offensive healing spell.
Maybe it'd work only on undead, ghosts, or skeletons.

I think healers are viable, just only in later game big party missions/dungeons...of which there are virtually none atm.

They definitely need something.
I mean, if we break it down into "classes" and "sub-classes," we got:
Warrior
- Tank-- Defense, Wind Guard, Taunt, Eclipse of Wings (if you wish), Mana Shield
Mage
- Healer- Healing, Party Healing, Mana Shield
Archer-- no sub-classes, but Support Shot is a great support skill. lol
Alchemist
- Summoner-- Summon Golem, Earth Alchemy Mastery (G13), Transmute Alchemy Mastery (G13)
Production-- all types of life/production skills
- Bard-- Magic Music (which got many buffs with G11), Lure of Ballad (G13), battle instruments (G13)
You may say,
"Oh, but Bards don't get any offensive buffs." Wrong. They got
melee instruments with G13.
I think it's Healers' time for some offense.

Healer can already be a viable setup. Skills that would need maxing ASAP would be: Windmill, Heal, Party Heal, Blaze, Synthesis, and... Probably all bolts, instrument related skills (a healer may as well be prepared to be a buffer too), and Summon Golem. A setup like this is built around healing and buffing being the top priority, but with the capability to cover other bases. WM to keep yourself safe, Blaze, for the same purpose, Synth to make preservation stones, and Summon Golem as another means of defense.
Outside of these top-priority skills, a few more that would probably be a good idea to raise are Defense, Thunder, Combat Mastery, Magic Mastery (well, that should probably also be a top-priority :v), Charge, Evasion, all your Magic Shields, and Mana Shield. The basis for my choices here are keeping yourself alive in order to keep everyone else alive.

You can't use Thunder with a Healing Wand.
And switching wands is a horrible thing to do when you have over 300 base MP.
I meant, as a sub-class, they cannot survive in Mabinogi.
If those melee instruments are as good as they sound, Bards can just buff themselves up with Magic Music and attack the crap out of other his or her enemies. Sure, using Smash and all those other good skills.
Healers just got the healing going on for them. No offense, but buffs, besides that 10 Def thing that Party Healing gives.
But can you attack while you have Party Healing casted? Nope.

Ranking Thunder wasn't so you would USE it. Ranking Thunder was for the massive MP bonus that comes with it. For the stuff I posted, I would expect the user to have healing wand (ego, if they're SUPER SERIOUS :v) + shield primary, and earth cylinder + shield secondary.

Healing Wand ego.. Seems rather useless.
From what I've heard, the healing boost is negligible, and would end up unused.

Can't the healer just rank up golem to be able to like... stand away from danger with their party heal and have their golem doing battle while they heal when necessary? same goes for magic music people. :v

So can the Archer, so can the Warrior if he/she feels lazy.
But that's not the point. haha
Healers suck and yearn for a much-needed boost. Offensively, if anything.
