How to make Healers a viable sub-class in Mabinogi?

  It's all about being hybrid anyway there are no classes in Mabi why make healers be able to do everything? They can just go hybrid :S
  They just heal if they want to do something else just go hybrid?

  A "healer" in Mabinogi can practically mean anything in terms of having skills as long as that person actively uses heal, regardless of healing rank. Higher rank just usually mean healing at a more better rate.

  The only restriction I'm using are weapon-restrictions.
  
  Any skill added that would benefit Healers would be a Healing Wand-only, offensive skill.
  
  Anyone would be able to learn it, however. Just like Blaze.

  Thunder, Fireball, Ice Spear. Pre-G13, that is.
  
  Would add Blaze to the list too, since the damage is highly nerfed that you wouldn't dare to use it with anything other than a Combat Wand.
  
  And then there's Party Healing?

  and Trinity Staff :S Since you're talking about adding a new skill you should consider g13 too
  
  And anyway an Offensive "HEALER" Skill would be magic too so you're not really boosting just Healers you're also boosting mages

  I said, pre-G13. And you didn't address Party Healing's restriction.
  
  Nonetheless, the skill can be just like Blaze. You can use it with any type of wand, however, it's much stronger when used with a Healing Wand.
  
  Strong magic skills are usually restricting in some way or another. Hailstorm, Adv. Magic, etc.
  
  
  Edit: Yes, it would be a Mage skill. But it would benefit the "Healer sub-class," which is much needed.

  I don't see why Healers would need a new skill just so they don't have to switch weapons can't they just switch to a Lightning Wand and spam Thunder?

  Why do Alchemists need Alchemy skills when they can just equip two swords and dual wield?
  
  And let's change this Healer skill thing. It's a magic skill that would benefit all mages, including Healers.

  o_O the Alchemist use alchemy because that's their playing style. The playing style of a healer is to heal. Believe it or not SOME people like to do just that and don't find it boring.

  EXACTLY.
  
  The Alchemist uses Alchemy because that his/her playing style. If he wants to summon a Golem, he uses a Cylinder.
  
  If a person wants to attack from a distance, to maintain his safety, he uses a Bow.
  
  If a person prefers dirty, close combat, he equips two swords.
  
  If a person prefers reducing damage taken, he equips a shield.
  
  If a person wants to use powerful magic, he equips an elemental wand.
  
  
  But if a person wants to equip a Healing Wand, he is only restricted to healing. Well, you don't need a wand to heal in the first place. Oh, Party Healing heals everyone? Get the Master title and drop the wand. It'll allow you to heal wounds and you're good.
  
  The game gives no incentive to use a Healing Wand. Yeah, sure, there will be hard missions. But Healing Wands have no pros in battle. Unlike Combat Wands, they don't have a special skill. (You know what I mean by special.)
  
  The Healer, Cleric... whatever you want to call him... is worthless offensively. He can get an ego Healing Wand and only heal. What in hell is that?

  You know exactly what I meant. Let's not play dumb. :P
  
  Yes, everyone becomes a hybrid eventually, but that doesn't mean you will continue to use every skill tab in the game. Truth is, a lot of people specialize. Lots into Melee, lots into Magic.
  
  But that's besides the point.
  
  Why are you so against new skills anyway?
  
  It's like saying, why add Hailstorm skill to Mages when they already have Ice Spear?
  
  Who cares, really. New content is always great. And in my opinion, this is much needed.
  
  Healing Wands are worthless.
