Touhou General Thread

  13 is okay. Stage 4 is fantastic imo.
  
  Very masochistic mechanic in comparison to the previous games, you have to go up to the top of the screen very often.
  
  Spell practice is back, and overdrive spells are a lot like last words, so it slightly reminds me of Imperishable Night.
  
  Didn't like the game overall as much as some others. The shot types weren't my thing either.
  
  The music style is slightly different. Heavy emphasis on the beats. Strong bass. Very modern.

  Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and Youmu are playable.
  
  Yuyuko and Kogasa make return opponents.
  
  And then you get a new Buddhist faction. Some interesting characters, good themes. They have a jiang shi, and zombie girls are hot, so its automatically good.

  Extra stage boss is a tanuki. Very funny spellcards. Silly theme. Very Japanese. I think I'll use this as my next profile picture.

  Wow, so many cosplaying pics while I was gone. I totally need to go to one and see how it is. Maybe I'll hide my power levels on my first trip and skip the Chen costume. Go with the Necomimi ears instead. Just so I can get a feel for it and not embarrass myself on my first convention. I'm a pretty lean fellow. I do walk to work/everwhere or bike which is totally different for an American and most of the time only eat 2 meals a day mostly due to laziness when I get back home.

  Anyways the most frequent pairing seems to be with Ran, typically as rivals. Since they're both tailed beast youkai with very similar backgrounds in Japanese folklore. Her design is actually fairly spot on.

  The leaf on her head is commonly used in fantasy media as a transformation tool. They disguise themselves as humans or objects to trick others. Its also her character ability. "The power to disguise herself and objects by shape-shifting"

  TH13 is generally the weirdest in the entire touhou series. Youmu is OP, Yuyuko faces a challenger thats gnawing at her heels for the title of the ultimate touou glutton, you get a weirdly shaped spring radish that shoot lightning, DJ miko, and an idiot that phases through walls using wallhacks. Not only that, lets not forget that you get high on drugs once in awhile and the music gets all weird and fuzzy. To top it off, you end the game series with a drunkard that was late to the party. Wow. How fun is that?

  The only guy character in Touhou. I already wear glasses at least so why the heck not. I'll need to possibly find a wig and I can go around making odd conclusions about the items people possess!

  Because I'm not buff. I would need to do some serious gym training to do MANnoskuke. My personality fits more with the more bookish type. I don't think I'd make a very good MANnoskuke at all.
