  There is a reason after a month with no word on an actual update that i was starting to get worried. The game is declining in KR land with the lack of content, and in effect, the membership is dropping in other places.
  
  Mabinogi's community pretty much thrives on hype, there is no hype, community remains stagnant with no growth, community segregates and forms cliques.
  
  
  
  
  And as for the offending users who are accused of trolling or such, ya know, when your writing style differs on different forums and your intelligence over there is higher... And then when i actually made a point of it, their post quality differs dramatically and causes you to get banned for trolling, gee, i wonder.
  
  Basic rules exist for a reaon, i know a few members that loved to dance that line intentionally without consequence. But the main member hasn't posted in a while. Cmon guys, when you post that people are picking on you and complain to the mods about it, and then proceed to piss everyone the fuck off, something's not right.

  Well it didn't worry me back then so I'm not taking that back. However, half a year later I am starting to get worried. I just checked KR again and it's another event, this time they are recycling the pillow event. Nothing new at all this time. Just event recycling which is getting me even more worried.
  
  However, I also checked Nexon's third quarter results and Mabinogi is making them lots of money in Korea so it's unlike them to just keep throwing events with no new content. We can only hope that they are working on something really big at the moment and it's taking half a year to a year to code.

  My answer to this is no, such a rule would could scare people off even more and they would refrain from posting at all out of fear for their posts being disapproved.
  This would only cause less activity and eventually Mabination won't have much left to give, and that would be the final drop to Osay's already overflowing bucket.

  The thread was deleted because it would end up more confusing than keeping them all seperate.
  
  And as others have said in those threads, sometimes these threads are inspirational to others, or some names have good inside jokes to bring a smile on other people's faces.
  
  I am also annoyed at a thread or two sometimes but I don't really fret about it, we all have a right to breathe and live in this world but you can't expect everyone to get along when everyone has their own unique views.

  People who have a different writing style, e.g. write "u" instead of "you" or don't use proper punctuation, aren't necessarily any less intelligent than those who write like an English major. Some people just prefer to type like that because it saves them time and effort. And usually it's just as easy to read as anyone else's posts.

  I would hereby also like to remind everyone that these forums have an "ignore user" option.
  If a certain user's posts annoy you, either use that option or don't respond to them nor click on threads they create if you don't want to read them.
  
  If you do respond to them, avoid flaming/insulting/harassing them and keep it polite.
  You're only getting yourself in trouble if you do otherwise.
  
  We apparently can't repeat this enough because there are users who continue to submit to such bad behaviour, stop it.

  I've actually heard a rumor from a guildmate that they're planning to redo alot of the content again pretty soon. Whether it's true or not is up for debate, but they're planning something for sure, if they're taking this long to reveal anything.

  There's tons to talk about as far as current content. The tips and tricks thread has a ton of info posted. Veterans like to see what's going on with other players. Newbies who have questions would see the plentiful info while posting their own thread and get interested. With the lack of actual discussion going on (even the serious topics have questionable quality), both groups will be less inclined to stay.
  IMO, there needs to be less freedom of speech. Between all the pointless banter in threads, people claiming to be the messiah of X who rules over ignorant masses of Y, and the amount of aggressive 'discussion' going on isn't pleasant to read and providdes no useful information. Feels like all those things used to be moderated more severely.
  Personally, I'm a fan of less freedom of speech. If you don't have a point which you can (and do) support, then there's no point in posting anything.
  
  Bean Rua shouldn't exist. It's been hated by many people since forever. At best it should be a user group restricted to the group message boards, not a public forum. But eradicating it entirely is better because, as said, forums are for the exchange of ideas not trying to be cool because you can be stupid with a bunch of strangers on the internet.

  I do enjoy bean rua and understand that it is a place to talk about anything everything but there are things that people say/do that I think shouldn't belong in there. Stuff like the pet names and everything I have also read that as a way for somebody to make conversation on the forums because thwy are bored and cant think of anything else to do. I have been lurking around nation for years and monitored its activity and to me it has turned into a place that used to be all about helping/giving insights to the community or leaking KR info so that we know what to expect soon in NA mabi to a place where people are just casually talking and bringing up stupid stupid topics that contribute little or none to the community. I believe that the rules on the forums should be stricter and more limited so that the irrelevant topics can go into bean rua.

  Nobody is intelligent about the game on nexon forums. I check them once every other month and laugh at the intelligence level of their posts.

  That would be Rua's House. Also Adult Content suggests porn when it's mostly serious discussions.

Part of it is because I'm not as active on mabinogi anymore, but a major reason is because there is a ton of crap.   The problem is that people are being turned away from this forum due to the sheer volume of uninformative posts. It is unlikely that someone seeking discussion would be scared off by this rule, because they would see that it is in place to promote discussion instead of useless banter. It will only discourage those who have nothing to contribute from posting.
  
  Activity in this sense is only coming from a few users who spam post threads. The only thing they are 'giving' to Mabination is a large amount of uninformative posts, and as this thread has shown, a number of people actually do not appreciate that.

  This helps for existing users. However, when a new user comes into Mabination, they see everything. All of the same type of uninformative posts. All by the same user. I assume this would be even more off-putting to people looking for discussion from using Nation, than the rules to post (if it is implemented.) It would also encourage more of the same behaviour that we are complaining about in this thread from new users. That in turn makes the older members have to ignore more and more people, until they get tired of it all and leave the community.
  
  
  Maybe it would be better if there was a section for mindless chatter/questions, and another section for actual discussion?
