  Even if the General Discussion posts were censored to filter out garbage, meaningful posts won't just magically manifest out of thin air. Hypothetically speakings, if all members who registered within the last 2 years suddenly vanished off the face of the earth, we would just start seeing 3 week old posts pile up in the discussions. The lack of good posts is simply the result of us oldies growing up or moving on to new and better things. If you haven't opened the game client in 5 months, how do you except to lead a discussion about the current state of the game let alone contribute. Not to mention the active player base is primarily interested in the social aspect of the game now a days. The game content isn't fun anymore because nothing is hard. What else do people have to discuss besides pointless social quips?
  
  I don't see why there's so much hate toward redundant questions. No one is wasting your time by asking these questions. You are wasting your own time by answering them. The people who really piss the living shit out of me are the people who respond to such posts with "Look it up on the wiki." If you have the time to post that, then you must have a lot of free time on your hands. Also consider that 90% of the people who post these questions tend to be newbies. If you want a permanent solution, get Osay to remove the registration function. Having such high expectations for an internet forum is honestly unreasonable.

  Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it should be removed. Forums meant for communities, not to "exchange ideas". Bean Rua is the joking/laid back that (mostly) every forum has. If you don't like it that's fine, but wanting to remove an entire section because you want the forums to be completely serious? Lol. And since you were apart of MabiGuru as well you should know that MabiGuru also had a similar sub-forum.
  
  And while Bean Rua hasn't been the best of times, neither has the Mabinogi section and mostly every other section of the site. The forum has seen a fair amount of drama everywhere.
  
  Mabination is an open community everyone is welcomed and you're bound to see things you will dislike whether it be a user, a discussion, or even an entire sub-forum as it is with every community especially with larger ones. The best thing to do is ignore the things you dislike and focus on the things you do like.

  There's tons to talk about as far as current content. The tips and tricks thread has a ton of info posted. Veterans like to see what's going on with other players. Newbies who have questions would see the plentiful info while posting their own thread and get interested. With the lack of actual discussion going on (even the serious topics have questionable quality), both groups will be less inclined to stay.
  IMO, there needs to be less freedom of speech. Between all the pointless banter in threads, people claiming to be the messiah of X who rules over ignorant masses of Y, and the amount of aggressive 'discussion' going on isn't pleasant to read and providdes no useful information. Feels like all those things used to be moderated more severely.
  Personally, I'm a fan of less freedom of speech. If you don't have a point which you can (and do) support, then there's no point in posting anything.

  Everywhere needs a trash bin, and Bean Rua is ours. However, like most trash bins, not everybody uses them, and some people toss some pretty good stuff in it. We're still better off having one than not.
  That is, if we didn't have Bean Rua, Bean Rua would be everywhere else 10x more than it already is.
  
  On your first note, you're right. It's not a good excuse. It's not even their excuse; It's the reason why they are not as inclined to be on. Half of what the KR testers signed up for was checking out new content before it hit NA, and that doesn't mean that they have to be prodding at every single angle for every minute detail. There hasn't been very much going on on KR Mabi recently that's worth mentioning, and so there hasn't been much that's worth looking for or investigating. It doesn't mean that they need to be constantly looking for information when it's not even there. That's just stupidity. Also, while KR testers may have posted information before, having it compact and done in a format by a group tends to make a lot of things easier on everybody.
  
  And on that note, if we were to lose freedom of speech, then I'd wager that the majority of people would leave. Yes, having a point to say, or intelligence to add to the conversation may be the intended point of adding to a thread, but we still need opinions and personalities, otherwise this place would be rather dull.

  ^I would have to agree with this. Although Bean Rua has had negative comments by some, it actually helps out topics/discussions that occur in Bean Rua to appear anywhere else on the forums. I think of it as "What is on your mind? Want to discuss it? Make a thread here"

  I was thinking about a section (in mabinogi area) for general chatting, and one for discussion (and merge future content subsection/lifeskill discussion subsection into it.)

  Mmmmmm, if were talking about just mabinogi section then ya... But im a bit confused about what other sections ud want to add to it? It seems like most of the bases are covered for the mabinogi section of the forums... It's just that people dont know when their topics are borderline asking for help on something when it should be in another section....

  I think this idea stems from the dumb "what did you name your___" threads and stuff. Honestly, I see what everyone is complaining about, and it's less about bean rua and more about Mabi Talk being filled with shitty topics. I'm sorry but nobody really gives a shit about what people named their latest pets, or some generation girl bullshit (just using whats up there right now as examples), if something has a cat icon next to it in Mabi Talk I won't even open the thread. The reason I came to mabination is because this is where serious mabinogi discussions happen among people who like to take mabinogi seriously. I didn't join Mabination to see what sally or bob named their bone dragons, I came to talk about the serious aspect of Mabinogi with people who aren't total idiots. Users like Kaeporo or Kenero or Aubog or radionoise (i miss him always correcting me) [S][SIZE="1"]and pureblood[/SIZE][/S] are what make Mabination an enjoyable experience for me because they know whats up, but now I barely see them posting. I miss seeing people argue about calculations and just arguing about Mabi in general, thats what made me love Mabination (just my opinion). Now Mabi Talk almost seems like a playground for little children, I've tried to post some meaningful topics in Mabi Talk (which I had never done prior) but thats not enough.
  
  
  There's nothing we can do except wait for an update so certain people's interest in Mabi come back. There are a few special type of users on Mabination which make this site special for people who like the more serious side of mabi such as myself. I obviously won't stop posting because apart from that I like talking to everyone on Mabination and I consider everyone my friend here, but I do wish I could load up Mabi Talk and see a bunch of meaningful content.
