When your power level is over 9000. LOL
Nah, but seriously, I think the same way as most in here. When you pretty much got nothing left to work on, everything ranked to 1, nothing is a challenge anymore. End game a lot of times means boredom if you ask me. I know of MMORPG's that have end game content but it gets too dull soon enough.
They should implement guild territories and the likes so you can have guild wars. xD I've always loved that about MMO's, makes being end game fun too. Then again, I am not too worried about getting there seeing as I've only played for several months, I still got a long ways to go.

If that's true then why do so many people toss the term end game around? I see too many people mention end game which is the reason why I was wondering.
By the sounds of it though everybody has a different concept of what end game means and thus the term end game is a relatively pointless and useless term that holds no concrete meaning or value in discussions.
Oi, why didn't you just say so? Capped stats for applicable area, A-grade enchants, A-grade reforges, A-grade equips.

and how does one determine what is A grade. What arbitrary rules decide that? Or is that also a personal choice which brings me exactly what you just quoted.

Usually it is r1 Reforges at max level of your personal choice. There are some reforges that have significant advantages over other.
If you want to argue that level 10 r1 Dex reforge is better than r1 level 6 Elemental reforge because the Dex reforge is your personal preference, that is fine.

Reforges I feel are easy enough. But what about enchants. What critieria does an enchant have to be before it's considered "A" Grade. Also for A grade equips, there indeed are a few select weapons that stand out above the rest like Lance for melee, Highlander bow for archery (or ego wing bow) preference may vary, Hermit staff for Magic, Fighter is a toss up between Champion and Bracer Knukles (also open to preference)
There's also the matter of is s5/r5 A grade or does it absolutely have to s6/r6

Best enchant is the one that gives most max damage. If two enchants are tied the best one is the one with the least penalties or the one that gives secondary buffs based on what skillset you use most.
This doesn't apply to mages.

But does it have to be the best to be A upgrade? or is there an S grade that one would declare for enchants.

The stage of a chess game after major reduction of forces; also : the final stage of some action or process
The definition of end-game as it relates to chess. Note the following:
- "the final stage of some action"
- "after major reduction of forces"
There are three major obstacles which prevent you from meeting these two objectives in Mabinogi. These obstacles are knowledge, skill, and development. I consider you to have reached end-game status when you possess all three attributes. The visual representation of these attributes would be the ability and will to both effectively and efficiently complete all opposing content in Mabinogi.

Again, it is all person preference.
Would anyone say that Fox enchant is considered to be an end-game enchant compared to like Oblivion? Some enchants are just simply better at giving more of the stats compared to other enchants. People prioritize different things in their enchants just like reforges.
Just look at the Accomplishment Thread, some enchants are just like "wow" compared to others.

End-game is when there is no more room for growth. That's how people use the term in theorycrafting.
That means skills, strategy, gear (including enchants and reforges), and stats.
An end-game <class> is one who has no more (effective) growth in that skillset. Other sets don't matter, unless they are relevant to execution.
Other 'definitions' of the word are misuse, probably out of habit and people not understanding abstract ideas. There's no real preference/opinion involved, unless two things are hard to compare effectively.

I see. Judging by the different responses though it seems that there is a lot of 'misuse' of the term. I understand now. Thanks everyone for the discussion and giving valuable insight in the matter.
In that case I'd probably be more of endgame mage than an endgame warrior as there's still plenty of room for improvement there in ranking Beserk, Mining, and Carpentry.

[S]End game? /exit[/S]
To me, end game refers to when you've done all the content to the point where there is nothing left for you to do.
