  So if whoever gets unbanned gathers enough points to receive another ban, they'll just end up getting banned again.

  That would allow him up to 40 threads a day if he aimed it correctly (although theoretically impossible), I think 5~10 threads accross the entire forum should be more than enough, with a limit per section.
  
  For example:
  10 threads-per-day limit.
  3 threads-per-section (per day, part of the 10-thread limit) limit.
  He makes 3 in Bean Rua, 3 in Gaming, 2 in Multimedia Fantasy and 2 in Mabinogi Talk.
  This totals to the limit of 10 and also didn't go over the limit of 3 per section.
  No more threads allowed for the rest of the day.

  Problem 1: A majority of people are pissed at one guy with apparent mental illness/trolling, who exercises his limited rights to the fullest, maybe going slightly over.

  Solution 1: Majority rule should work. Why are we still trying to use the ethical solution to this, when it has failed time and time again, and you're just ending up deterring a greater number of members? As stated before, forums are a privilege, not a right. In addition, there are many forums on the internet that he can go and be retarded (4chan, for example). Either way, although he didn't do anything wrong, he's not going to be taken seriously on these forums due to his mannerisms, so what's the point of having him flood it with pointless topics?
  
  Solution 2: Highly rated posters shouldn't be an exception when they break the rules, so simply give them infractions/bans/whatever, like before. If they don't want to follow the rules, they can leave as well.
  
  Solution 3: This can't be solved unless something provoking enough is said, but be aware that the problem does exist.

  So yes, the 5-thread restriction is currently Splat-only, since we haven't ever seen anyone make 5+ threads a day, let alone a week.
  
  We might have to look into these things closer though, if everyone made 5-10 threads a day, it would look messy.

  The 10 thread rule was discussed and decided by a community, but after running it for a short time, it was decided that 5 would be better. This never made it back to the actual thread, but I promise the rule page update will be my biggest priority during Christmas break.
  
  This is 5 threads per board, per day. Again, because this rule is very easy to accidentally break for anyone, it does not automatically result in an infraction. It results in a verbal warning to halt for 24 hours. And of course, since there was already a verbal warning, failure to cease skips the warning infraction and goes straight in to a major spam infraction.
  
  This means if anyone hits the 5 thread limit, the most they could possibly have posted over a 2 day period is actually 2.5 per day. There is no reason to complain about this very reasonable limit. You could theoretically game this rule and post 4 threads a day, but even then it isn't really that bad.
  
  The mods do have a job of trying to keep the boards clean, and dealing with your reports, but remember that their job isn't to log on every 30 minutes and count threads made by specific individuals in a board. If you notice it, just report it to bring it to our attention.

  I had to open my old medical cabinet and find some pills designed to treat attention deficit disorder just so I could sit through it.
  
  We currently live in an age of tl;dr and the wadsworth constant. Concise and minimal is extremely important to retain the average browser's attention. I'd be happy to work with you on a Bean Rua Guide thread, but it would have to be at most 4~5 paragraphs, preferably under 5000 characters. Setting up a long guide about forum etiquette in bean rua is honestly very contradictory to the nature of bean rua anyways, so it would have to be pretty good.
