WD has stuff I want as well, I have a WD Heart now and all I want to do is make a Lance out of his frozen dead corpse, but no one even bothers killing it. The Wyverns are fucking obnoxious, but I just deal with it. . . until you're transed and watch 1k hp become 500 in less than a minute because 5 of them are munching you at once back to back. They should NOT be able to chain that and make you completely helpless D:<.
I like the idea of raids, especially with raid crystals, that money is yummy.
@Yuuki, so aside from the enchants, what about the BD and WD drops, what would you change about it since you dislike the raid concept. Would they just be a dungeon boss? Well, Bhafel did fit inside Karu. . .just barely I think :chin:

This is not Korea where there's a million players in the server. This content requires a population base which is simply not achieved on other servers. Unusable content is poorly designed content and should either be adjusted accordingly or trashed entirely.
The only raids that are ignored are Bhafel and Reshichicken. The other ones are killed often.

The other field bosses being soloable makes all the difference. You can even solo white dragon if you're willing to deal with the mobs but nobody wants to even try that because it's so ridiculously frustrating. Now if there was a way to actually control multi with something like pets, then I would consider the content fair-game but because there's literally no way to control agro aside from relying on people who just Leroy Jenkins fucking everything as a meatshield. The fact that you are forced to cooperate with people who may or may not be there makes this content poorly designed and inaccessible for servers with smaller populations.
Also, this game has been pay2win since day 1. What are paid rebirths? What are pets? What are enchant protection potions? What are reforges? What are rare items in gachapon? This is a mute point that has been beaten to death by machoists who think this game is a fucking career or something wherein your success is proportional to the amount of effort you invest or something. Just because something requires real world currency to be bought doesn't mean it's no longer accessible by players who choose not to spend real money or whatever because of the fact that you can trade all this shit save for protection and repair potions. The reality is paying or not, players are unable to utilize this content and changing this would indeed make it more accessible to players that actually want it.

Ehh, maybe 1/4th of your contribution. If you're going to smaller raids thats like 7k across all channels, for WD/BD that's 2k. 8k/4k exploration exp per raid is a bit broken.

No, Raids do not do a "okay" job at this. Otherwise, this thread would not be 3 pages long, and noone appearing in the most of the raids.

So you'd rather have everything just appear in gacha then? Might as well remove all sms and dungeons that give out those things then. While we're at it, let's remove the giant big-horned gnus too.
I know other servers have problems with raids, but to remove the whole raid system because of those servers isn't the solution. There just has to be some factor that would motivate people to go, maybe an event or something.

Remove blade wyverns
Lower the prot on snowfield slayers and increase the spawn rate
Make contribution scale purely off damage output and kill count (some people attack the dragon, others keep the slayers off people attacking dragon)
Slayers only aggro players that hit the dragon with a single targer attack in the last 5 seconds
Make the slayers do more damage
Make the dragon do more damage
Increase gold/exp rewards and enchant drop rates

I dunno about other servers but there are always weekday raids going on in Alexina. Sure the numbers are small compared to where I used to play (KR server) but its not like there are no people at all.
But my guess is that DevCat either needs to promote more raid opportunities or change the system significantly so smaller populated servers can enjoy raiding too!

SMs are needed for leveling (and gold). I haven't really find anything from Shadow Missions that is worth anything. I don't usually find Giant Big-Horned Gnus either, and when I do, I usually get nothing. All my oblivion comes from buying from other people who gachapon.
I did not mentioned about removing the raids. The thread is more about hypothetical suggestions to improve the raids.
