Okay, this has been a discussion from the korean forums.
*the title is a bit vague so let me explain.
Some players thought elves aren't as nerfed in meele as much as giants are nerfed in range and magic.
While giants get one range skill with cooltime of 25 seconds. Elves get smash, defense, counter attack, windmill, and combat mastery. So elves should get those skills removed and replaced with a smash like skill that deals 900% dmg at r1 with 25 seconds.
The sheer difference in number of skills are different.
Also giants only get 5 mp per magic mastery rank. To balance that out elves should get 5 hp per combat mastery rank. If they QQ about the hp, they have low hp build and mana shield.
Those are what the thread was about. I want mabination's opinions on this. Discuss.

Giant buffs? Yes please.
Tbh I think they're fine, but making them even better? Perfect :D

Excuse me for being off topic, but abc doesn't talk about giant buffs in his post, just elf nerfs.
I'd agree that elves get along much better than giants in terms of combat and versatility.

personally PvP wise i think AR needs to be nerfed. Its so annoying when humans with way worse range then me beat me by spamming AR.

I'd rather have a 100% chance to hit and 1hko almost everything, plus have 2 of the biggest AOE attacks in the game, instead of having a luck-based attack which might get me murdered. :\
It's humans that need nerfs, not elves. Since they can do both, more effectively.

what are y'all talking about?
this thread has nothing to do with humans.

I'd agree that Jark went pretty off-topic.
The issue isn't with humans. Humans are the baseline.

Isnt that the point of be a human? "Jack of all trades, master of none".

Does that mean both Giants and Elves get buffs?
>_>

fine then... i say giants and elves dont need nerfs/ buffs. It's preety well balanced as it is. An elf can camp just as well as a giant (that's usually what happens)

well considering humans can contend w/ elf range and giant melee...
Edit: double post sry...

The point of this thread was discussing how elves are better off with their meele than giants with their range.

Well, without those basic melee skills, it would make elves a lot harder to start out. While not all elves rank those skills early, they usually get them to at least to rF to kill beginner monsters to build up their "early game" character.
Giant throw on the other hand, aren't really as necessary since their good melee lets them play the "early game" well already.
The Mana/HP from skills between the two don't really make much difference when considering other +mana/life skills out there. (Thunder, Life Drain, etc.)

I just think that maybe giants could get buffed, maybe have regular magic like humans to make up for having little to none ranged.
