Basically a thread to discuss about the skills in Mabinogi what what would you do to improve/balance them out. Keep the tweaks short, sweet & simple!
I'll start off with a few examples:
Heat Buster
Increase damage and Splash radius
- Has it stands, Heatbuster is just "flat" damage, and will be prone to fall behind with harder and harder content, A way to build up it's damage would be a possible solution.
Bullet Storm and Shooting Rush
Fix the directional glitch
- This has to be one of the most annoying and dangerous things when it comes to using Gunslinger, your character decides to face the opposite direction of the desired location.
Focused Fist and Dropkick
Fix unfair cooldowns
- Don't you hate it when your skills go into cooldowns when the hit doesn't land? I think this is really bothersome.

The magic shields. You should be able to at least move with it. It would be even better if you could use normal attacks and windmill (similar to wind guard).

Throwing Attack's cooldown should be lowered more. As it stands even with 2 seconds cool down wont even make it OP, but rather closer in comparison to Elf Melee.
Wind Guard should allow movement or potion usage. At least forcing the character to walk during Wind Guard should be doable, or at the very least give the ability of using potions.
Alchemy Mastery's outdated training requirements. It's basically causing the entire skill to be a hell rank skill.
Giant Stomp should be activated instantly similar to Windmill/Monster Stomp. It's stupid to see your character in Stomp animation only to be canceled by an attack.
Campfire should be uncapped or rebalanced. No one uses it during battle very frequently.
Tailoring and Blacksmithing should get more equipment manuals. Also make stuff like Mythril Ingots/Ores used more often.
Berserk should give a colossal amount of Strength. At least that's my opinion, being hit for full damage should at least allow almost any warrior to OHKO almost anything.
Counter Punch should do more damage or at least include enemy damage like other counter skills.
Elven Mirage Missile should be buffed on par with Giant Full Swing. [S]It's always good to have balance between races[/S]

Synthesis
With current abundance of items that used to be 'rare' and removal of need for alchemy crystals (other then the basic crystals), the skill has fallen useless unless you need some ingots, or you want to re-roll a dye. New items could be added, unique to only the synthesis skill, or they could make more items dupable.

I agree completely, the result list is so out dated as well, same is said for Fragmentation.

I think they should remove the need of a manual to make items. Use them to learn how to make the items instead, adding to a list of possible items you can make. It doesn't make sense that you're a master of your craft but you seem to forget how to make simple items like a pickaxe and need to constantly remind yourself how to make them everytime. You don't need them for other production skills so I think it's time they were updated abit.

They should make manuals like Skill books, "use" them and learn their contents.

(I also do not understand the damage formula as listed by the wiki, where it says "base damage" as the skill has no damage indication anywhere.)
Most of the Crafting Life Skills
[SIZE="1"]With the Saga spewing out Demonics and the only other good weapons coming from Engineering/Magic Craft, a lot of the basic life skills such as Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Tailoring, and Handicraft are of limited use. [/SIZE]
Tweaks: New recipes with worthwhile appearances and stats that gives incentive to do these skills for something other than Dex/Str. Or perhaps bigger bonuses to handmade items.
Final Shot
[SIZE="1"]Very situational, minimal use other than Magnum spamming and the slight aim speed increase.[/SIZE]
Tweaks: Lowers cooldown times on range skills?
First Aid
Tweaks: Uncap it
Mana Crystallization
[SIZE="1"]The crafting aspect is not the problem; the damage is. The difference between an artificial mana crystal and a real mage after the Stat Rebalance and the Merlin update is staggering.[/SIZE]
Tweaks: (bug?)Allow the skill to be used with Spellwalk[You currently can, but you must have Spellwalk activated prior to loading]. Remove the damage penalty of 20%. Allow for critical hits.
This won't totally make mages useless, since the skill won't receive any bonuses from Int, Magic Atk stats, or any kind of weapon (perhaps not even from R-step weapons, if possible)

Handicrafting
Need more useful items that can be created by this skill. The only recent addition was puppet potions which got replaced by clouds, puppet repair kits, which as some uses and demonic weapons which are still quite difficult to craft and generally pointless to make anyway...
Blacksmithing/Tailoring
Not only do we need more manual/pattern the base stats of these crafted weapons need to have a higher bonus, at least comparable to fomor weapons. There should also be more set/title/enchant? hammer/kit upgrade bonuses that can help increase quality of the item created.
Magic Crafting/Engineering
It seriously needs a talent already!!! There should be more items that can be crafted. Potentially more unique items from other areas [eg other raids, not only white/black dragon raids, rafting, ballooning] or unique parts that can be use to make the more rarer items/syn into rarer items? Items created using this skills should also be fragmentable?
Fishing
It needs rarer items. Easy fix would be to allow rare pattern/manual/materials a fish-able item.

Adding to this, normal melee attacks should not do that either. Also the delay from the last hit of a melee combo should be reduced/removed as well.

It should cost a arrow too, with a new animation.
Chain Cylinder Cooldown timer is dependent on how many charges are added.

really love it when I have to go into cooldown after chaining 1 additional charge.
Grapple Shot The grappling line now stuns the target.
I love grappling onto a target, just to get smashed when it finishes the animation.
