Personally if i was able to, I would trade in 100 str or 100 will for elf movement speed since i'm human. Or even better 100 int lol. You can already use catering to get the stats you want with food.
I would do the inverse if it means lowering the gap in just one of the stats by 100. So would many other people I have encountered. At this point, there really is no point in being an elf besides running speed and hide. (By the way, this ninja update gives hide to all races, WITHOUT cooldown, can be used mid combat, makes you twice as fast, and does not consume mp/sp/hp/etc. So Ninja just removed THAT advantage.)

And this is exactly why I said people were ignoring the reality of simple math. :) Ratios are key. When everyone gets the same stat bonus, you are diluting the advantages or disadvantages that the races have had.
For example, imagine Elves had max 1 STR, Humans had 2, and Giants had 3. Ignoring all other damage modifiers for simplicity, a Giant would be 3 times stronger than an Elf. Now imagine they all get a bonus of 5 STR. Elves now have 6, Humans have 7, and Giants have 8. "The gap is still there," but it's become insignificant by comparison. In our actual scenario, the improvement won't be as extreme, but it will be an improvement for elves none the less.
Always try to think a step ahead!
When it comes to Elven Whining, I think a bigger source of tragedy for the population concerns those who do not a strong base of STR + WILL ahead of this update, as elves are more likely to focus on range, as opposed to melee or fighter. This in turn means that humans and giants, who are more likely to be melee/fighter hybrids already, will be better positioned for this new class. That, however, has nothing to do with the minor differences in endgame stat potential people on forums have been whining about. I know a couple elves who went the melee/fighter route for fun and I know they're gonna love the way stats work on this class. :)
That's not the argument. But I would like to add before I change the topic back, that 200 str is still a significant gap whether its 1+200 or 2000+200. Ratio is irrelevant.
Having a large Str and Will gap would be fine if there was a large Int or Dex gap in which Elves had the highest stat. The problem is that Elves only have 14 more dex and 9 more int than Humans. Many, including myself, do not see 14 dex, 9 int, faster running speed, hide (which advantage would be irrelevant after the Ninja update), and mounted archery (which is irrelevant with the small size of dungeon/mission rooms) being worth all the disadvantages Elves have over Humans. People do not see the advantages of Elves in any situation outweighing the advantages of being a Human.
The gap should be either 20 more int and dex, 20 less str and will, or 200 more int and dex, and 200 less str and will. THAT is where ratio is relevant.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I edited the main post to mention the faces. I was not sure if they were a part of the Regeneration update so I was hesitated over whether they should go here or a new thread.
