  Now that the masses got what they wanted, there's no need to complain! (though there are definitely some people who believe that those who exploited should have stayed ban for their duration, I'm not sure how many of them exist on these forums)

  Honestly I kind of agree it's wrong that so many people are doing this and not regretting it at all. Really, half of the population? Even though I don't care about gems at all and don't have an ego myself, so it doesn't affect me... but I think that because of people resorting to botting/macroing and pretty much having the mentality of a game-breaking hacker, they really did deserve it.
  Just because a glitch/bug exists doesn't make it right to abuse. It's kind of like saying, "The store doors were left unlocked, so I can sneak in and steal all the goods, even though it's obviously a destructive thing to do and will get me in trouble". It just doesn't make sense to complain about the consequence of doing something you knew you weren't supposed to do, and it is a very lenient punishment, so really should be thankful that they weren't perma-banned(except to those who were wrongfully caught in it).
