  Ah. You're right. Though I guess the "Cool items" part could be considered "Fashion", but it should probably be bigger.

  I just completely laughed at the blue slice of that chart. I think for me, it's both "time" and "money" that makes me still play. I agree, Mabinogi's literally become a chore. The game itself has so much potential to be better, and I'm just riding on the hopes that it will someday reach that potential. I wish a money-grubbing company didn't own it, I really do.

  Its more or less people are just upset about Nexon letting Mabinogi die instead of fixing major issues with it,other than just things to do.Also, it's gonna take more than G19 and G20 to fix this game for many people in all honesty. It needs good and fresh ideas to add on for current content, with the way Nexon is running it.Anyone who stuck with Nexon this long ..despite their services...really loves Mabi, and just want major issues to change fixed. That's what this thread is about.

  This is only an issue if you see it as an issue. Sure, the game may be due for a new content update, but like I said before, it's not necessarily something that the game needs.
  
  Let's all take the step back to the earlier days of Mabinogi. What was there? Bunch of people trying to get past through goblins and golems and clear dungeons, trying to clear generations, all that jazz. Now why isn't this the case? I know this might sound ironic, but it's because we DO have more content. We came to the point where dungeons are extremely inefficient with only few notable rewards (like Steel Needle ES). We came to the point where everyone are spamming shadow missions and MA, well, because of their efficiency and better rewards. With this principle behind, game should have just died out. So why isn't it?
  
  First reason is what I already mentioned in another post; people are simply trying to push limits.
  Now the other reason is because we DO have more content, just not in the gameplay area. The game is constantly spewing out fashions, some ridiculous, some fantastic to look at, you name it. And newsflash: I don't know if you haven't noticed, but a LOT of people play this game for fashion purposes, and some solely for that reason. And the case still holds true for foreign servers.
  
  This is a game of character progression, not necessarily some DFO shit you've been looking for. You can make your character do literally a million damage, or you can turn your character into a cute little penguin wearing beach sandals, your call really.
  
  Let's also take this in Nexon's view.
  
  Even without updating contents, players will still buy reforges, keep rebirthing, cap out stats, and try to do what damage they can do. At the same time, they'll also buy fuck ton of gachapons, to get whatever dress/robe/man skirt they want. Now, as a company, you would want money, wouldn't you? In Nexon's eyes, if they were to do content update regarding combat systems (which seems to be the concern of the original thread), this is risker. Remember the balance renewal update? LOTS of people complained. In foreign servers, they actually got fair number of people to quit the game because of this update. However, when Nexon releases new contents outside of stats/combat, players tend to get drawn into that more, and there are also much less apparent complaints, either because people actually like it, or just don't give a shit about it.
  
  In this case, what would you choose? Constantly bring updates that will spike your profit, or do an update that may lose customers? I'd think that they want to keep their customers. And about telling veterans to quit... I wouldn't call it harsh. A veteran would have achieved things enough in the game that they really don't need to achieve much more anymore. Besides, this game won't last forever, would it? Whether you like it or not, you'll have to quit at some point. If there's a point where you begin to not like many of the thing the game provider does, that's probably a good time.

  7k gold and a couple wind crystals. And this isn't rare, I have never seen anyone get a reward worth even picking up from a shadow mission. Dungeons are just as bad if not worse. I'm not saying rare items should rain from the skies, but it would be nice if when someone puts effort into something they actually got -something- out of it to make them want to continue. At this rate I'm actually going into the red because repairs are costing more than I'm getting from them.

  Shadow wizard advanced solo... I mean, what did you expect? Clearly, advanced is not the best level out there, what were you expecting, Cressida wear or something?
  
  In a mission difficulty lower than mediocre, that sort of reward should be expected. The good rewards are reserved for harder missions, and that doesn't need to change (or more like, shouldn't change). It doesn't matter how much personal effort you put into it, advanced mission is still an easier mission out there and therefore won't give you amazing rewards.
  
  This game by default is designed to play by RNG. If you think you should get a reward for your personal effort each time, wouldn't you think the reward system would be broken? The reward system is meant to contain low grade rewards as the most common, mediocre items as next common, and rare items being rare. That does not need to change, you're simply complaining about the game's system now. Deal with it, it won't change.
  
  The game makes you grind even more this way. For example, a regular person would have to do numerous runs of Alby Int for 4 to get the infamous page 8 for Arrow Revolver. Or do countless runs of shadow wizard elite for Cressida Wear. Or many white dragon raids to get the champion enchant. By having a bad RNG, game's making you work. Asking for a reward for your effort would essentially make the Mabinogi players even more lazy than they already are.

  The thing is, you don't need enchants or reforges to find the adv missions easier missions.
  Especially looking at how much easier it is to get AP, character progression became even faster. Meaning people will get to higher level in no time. In fact, you can get to Expert talent easily under level 1k, and hardmode is now really the borderline for "mediocre".
  In short amount of time, these missions, although called "advanced", will be remembered as easier missions, even for those that are still below mid-game level.
  
  I can understand that players may get frustrated over the terrible RNG of the game, but it should have been expected when it's clear almost everything in the game is percentage based. The reward system reflects the principle of the game, and therefore obviously cannot be changed to give better reward according to effort, because that would not be random chance anymore, and effort is still subjective, and it would go against the game's principle. A player with good understanding of the game would know this.

  You really shouldn't be complaining if you konw that the game is RNG-based. For newbies, it doesn't take long to figure this out. By the way, the reason I brought the "understanding of the game" is because some players could use it. Like you. Just a week ago, you didn't even know how red special upgrades work. This is a really crucial and basic knowledge for Mabinogi, and I wouldn't expect someone who can't even understand the simple special upgrade to understand the whole principle the game is based on. No offense.
  I do agree that rewards are shitty, but it's not really a thing to complain about. Maybe devCat can add in more to the middle rewards, but nothing more. And this action still would not be necessary, as players would go for the high end reward either ways.
  
  This whole thread is laughable, what you people are doing is complaining about flaws of the game, or what you think the flaws are. If devCat somehow manages to solve your problems, then another will rise, and people will complain, and repeat. There's no point caring about these "flaws".
