I read One Piece, released in a weekly magazine in Japan, within 24 hours of release in Japan (and that's only because I'm too busy to read it earlier).
If I waited for the english release in stores we're talking months, if not longer.
If fans are able to organize that for free, I don't want any excuses from someone asking for money for the same content.

Honestly, I've said all there is to say about it a few times already. I'm not gonna get on someone's case because they've pirated something. We've all done it at some point. What's important is to be able to look at it in an intelligent way--that is, not to try to morally justify it with dumb arguments like "well, they're not losing any money because I wouldn't have bought it anyway (therefore what I do is not wrong.)"
Another point to be brought up when it comes to piracy is the enforcement and crackdown surrounding it. A lot of people are misguided in believing that you should not fight or punish pirates--that it should be accepted and that new business models should be built around it. These people often point towards Steam and Netflix as examples of such new models overtaking older ones. But I ask you this: Would these new models have been able to take hold had there been no crackdown on piracy in the first place? The short answer is no. The long answer would involve discussion about how people value convenience and quality of a service, and that the reason services like Steam and Netflix could disrupt the market in the first place is because the crackdown on piracy services has prevented the creation of reliable, convenient and secure sites where you can pirate everything. Not so in countries like China, where you can get a cheap TV box that easily streams any show you want from a Netflix-like interface--for free.
Only things that I dont buy are manga chapters, anime episodes, and music.
Reasoning for these is:
-Manga chapters is either get it for free or dont get it, there is no 3rd legitimate choice.
-Anime episodes are the same thing as manga chapters.
Music business is corrupt as hell and greedy as fk and refuses to bend and meet midway with people that get music illegitimately. Instead they force their greed onto everything they can in an attempt to force people to pay their overpriced fees for music. Their are plenty of ways to meet midway with people that get free music without trying to push as hard as u can and be as greedy as u can that I personally would be willing to support. But I will not support the music industry due to how corrupt and greedy they are and how hardheaded they are to try and get every cent they can. Call me whatever you like, you have your own moral standings and I have my own moral standings but they happen to conflict on this matter. You are welcome to pay ridiculous amounts of money for music if you want, and I will continue to get music my own way.
Anything else I normally either pay for, or dont use (movies I normally see in theaters, and I dont play anything besides MMO's at this point so I dont even have that issue).
Personally I think $1.25+ for a song is ridiculous, which is why I use spotify
