Just like the title says, how did you come across watching anime/reading manga?
I watched naruto and bleach a bit when there was no shippuden and then my friend told me about the manga/anime series and how it was ahead and all that so i ended up doing those and as time progressed I started watching stuff like Angel Beats and other titles that put me on a feels trip. BEST DECISION EVER....

When I was 7 or 8 I watched some Dr. Slump anime on VHS, then soon after I got the first volume of Dragon Ball manga. Been hooked on it since then.
So pretty much Akira Toriyama introduced me to the whole thing.

Isn't that a hentai? or rather a hardcore ecchi anime?

yep, that was pretty hardcore ecchi. All the more back then I used to be so pure. But the comedy in that anime and all of my feels to the storyline made me want to keep watching.

Technically the first anime I saw was Dragonball Z, but I didn't really know it was anime or anything. It was just a cartoon with blood.
I was around 8-10 when a friend at school told me that Shaman King, Medabots, Fighting Foodons, etc., were called anime and they were from Japan.

Dragon ball, i think i started watching around the first tournement, got hooked and watched it all on vhs.
Then dragonballz, then adult swim and bleach and all that, then internet.
Also when I was like 4 my mom rented kiki's delivery service and I watched it so much the vhs tape fell apart and she had to pay for it!

I heard shaman king aired on cartoon network for a short time then got soon cancelled. I never saw it, but looking into it it looked really nice. Also isn't it an incomplete series?

Don't know about the anime but the manga seems to be completed now. I think it did get cancelled but they redid the ending or something, I remember reading the manga but then suddenly shit ending. Re-read it more recently and it was still bad but better.

Before going to (elementary) school,I used to watch Samurai Pizza Cats & Sailor Moon every day. Can't say I even knew what 'anime' was until like middle school, probably.
