Sometimes I contribute images. Recently, images of items that happen to always come in preset colours that happen to include black; I understand if it gets replaced and sent off to a gallery page, because black is against the usual policy.
But then it does get replaced, but the replacement image still has the default black showing? What even.
Why does this sort of thing still happen? They're shoes too, no one can flippin' tell it's any given character from a closeup of shoes, it's not like you're getting mad fashionogi cred posing for a wiki image at that point. Or any point.
While there were a few "picture whores" in the past, most of them are inactive now. Usually, if an item comes in a preset colour, that item's image gallery will include the preset colours, along with non-default colours. It would help if you could give an example/provide a link where an image was replaced but still had black in it. I'm not trying to calling you a liar or anything, but I feel that there's no point calling out the entire wiki if it's just 1 or 2 people that's doing it.

I've tried talking to the Wiki admin about the "problems" of the staff, and fashionogi contributors. However there is a lot of stubbornness that floats around it.
One: Even if you contribute, be it a picture, it will always be replaced despite how proper it is to guidelines by another staff who are hard up for their characters to get face-time on a new page.
Two: Bragging rights, if you find something interesting, it's wrong until a main contributor or fashionogi wiki contributor plagiarises the information you just posted, but under their name instead.
Three: Expect bannings for "arguing" with staff for politely asking them to moderate their staff better so everyone has a chance to help out.
four: Just don't post on the wiki anymore, unless it something like skill charts. Because it won't make a difference. Posting information in a collaborative post on nation, or topic is a lot better than browsing willy-nilly misguided info on a wiki that can't get their shit together.
Oh where to begin with this one...
1. Provide a link/example. The admins/mods of the wiki have final say on most of these matters. Don't like it? Then you may as well quit life, because guess what? Admins/mods of anything usually have final say on matters that are under their jurisdiction (be it admins/mods of a website like mabi wiki and mabination, or of a company).
2. When someone who's new decides to make a large edit, it's going to draw attention. Some contributors lurk on the recent changes page and then go over the information/test it out in order to verify the edit. It's called preventing vandalism and upholding the integrity of information. That being said, I'm not saying that there isn't false information on the wiki, but preventing the addition of more false information is something contributors should be doing. It sounds like you expect a new contributor to be treated the same as someone who's been around for years. It's called seniority; if someone's been actively contributing for years and hasn't been banned/received warnings yet, then it
usually means that they can be trusted to not add false crap to the wiki
most of the time.
tl;dr of #2. It's not plagiarism if you're editing to correct the false information/the poor grammar of the last contributor. I fail to see how doing so makes it "theirs".
3. Again, provide examples. Someone in an earlier post said a similar thing, but in the end, that person wasn't as "polite" as they claimed to be when talking to one of mod.
4. Don't contribute to the wiki? I'm sorry, but where do you think some of the information in those collaborative posts on nation are obtained from? You've also obviously never heard of "thread derailment" or "image spam" in a thread before...
If you don't like the mabinogi wiki, then move on instead of passing yourself off as some butt-hurt individual that has a grudge against the wiki.
