I can't really understand what the lore is all about. Are the Cessair all clones or something? Who the heck are Bith and Birren?
Plot hole: How the fuck does the Cessair knock me unconscious, when I'm supposed to have Akule's charm?
Either A, they countered your counter, or B, for whatever reason, you didn't have it on you.
No, the ones we meet are not clones. They are the descendants of the people of Ban, who are most likely related to the Dragons and/or Elves in some way, judging by how Irinid's curse banished them into an exile of non-existence that resembles phantoms. Basically, they still require what they once did to survive, like food, water, sunlight, the whole kid and kaboodle, except suddenly their bodies would no longer accept nutrition, and so they were dying. (Man, that is one hell of an effect from a curse. I understand why they hate Irinid...) They managed to, using a form of magic, sacrifice their own people so that some of the others could actually get what their bodies needed. At this point, they're no longer surviving off of Human needs, they're effectively burning erg, mana, or whatever. They first sacrificed those who didn't have the will to live on, so that the stronger-willed could continue. The "clones" were people that they had created specifically to become sacrifices of erg/ mana/ whatever, but they realised how barbaric their actions were, and that they were turning themselves into monsters. And so Dian Cecht, who was effectively their leader, discarded her emotions so that she could continue allowing her people to survive, even though she had become a monster who lived on for the sole purpose of vengeance against Irinid, which is the creed taught to the now descendants of the Ban, who are most likely all long dead, or... dunno, really. Treasure Hunter's parents, Bith and Birren, were two who Dian Cecht met, who were of the Ban. Dian Cecht gave Bith (his mummy) that black book that had her information in it, and stuff happened.
Also, "Cessair's Heart" was Dian Cecht's discarded emotions, but despite how she is the discards, she still has the same maniacal lust for vengeance. So they are now Dian, and Cecht. Although we took care of Dian, who was evidently a lot weaker without Cecht. We get to fight Cecht in the last episode to finish things off.
That's about all of the important stuff from the past 2 episodes. What's been explained, anyways.
An exile of existence that's similar to phantoms... yeesh. Is it any wonder that Irinid's son doesn't like his mommy? (It was for different reasons, I know... but still.)
