Quote from Zeo;1250841:
Pansexual is similar, but you're attracted to anyone (usually based on their personality) regardless of genders (male, female, transsexual, and many more)
I've always found the need to claim being pansexual rather obnoxious, and that's coming from someone who fits the definition.
It's like the people who came up with it had to feel that there's something
extra special about them that makes them even shinier and sparklier than those who are
merely bi. It's an absurdity, really.
I don't feel the need for a unique label to describe me, I settle for gay because that really expresses about all anyone needs to know about me. Funnily enough many of the guys I've fooled around with feel the same way about calling themselves straight.
The bald truth is most everyone is a little everything. If the right person comes into your life at the right time you'll bend regardless how you think of yourself. All these silly labels represent is how comfortable you are with various concepts and how important you feel it is for everyone else to know about it.
Some people have sex with specific genders/orientations/whatever because it feels good. Some people do it because they have deep intimate connections with the other person or people, some people do it because it's what they feel expected to do, some people do it because they don't know they have other options, some people do it for pay. We really don't need a label to define every possible reason a person does has or would have what degree of sex with whom.
The "holiday" is good though, the more people who show that the quaint little notion of 'normal' that America's puritanical little forefathers tried to cram down everyone's throat as a real and valid thing is in fact a myth, and always has been, the better for everyone.
