I hate how quests keep requiring me to be a brainless retard even though the slightest bit of common sense would stop a normal person from doing these things. "I think the church may be planning something. See what you can find out." "HEY HEAD OF THE CHURCH, ARE YOU LEADING A SECRET CULT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT? NO? THAT'S GOOD. THANKS ANYWAY."
I used to think that I was tactless. No longer.

I think that's a side-effect of Saga turning you into a shonen anime protagonist.
Anyway my thoughts so far? A hell of a lot better than anything that's been put out since g12.

Would you rather us becoming a shoujo anime protag? I mean, it is our "ANIME life" now...

What's the difference between a shoujo and a shonen?

Shonen is generally aimed at boys. It focuses on fighting and violence and whatnot. Stuff like DBZ, Gundam, Naruto, Bleach.
Shoujo is aimed at girls. It generally focuses more on romance and relationships being confident in yourself and such. Cardcaptors, Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club.
So, basically we would go from a dumb guy who doesn't know how to do anything but ram our head against things until they break, to a little girl constantly tripping on things and squealing about how cute Altam is.

I finished it a few hours ago, and I gotta say, this generation was probably one of the best so far. The plot was wayyyyy more interesting than saga I and II, and a few of the fights weren't so easy. I'm not too happy about being portrayed as an idiot who lack common sense though. Holy Contamination was annoying too, I ended up using more pots than I normally do in a month.
The final wasn't as hard as I imagined.
The first fight with the winged girgashy (without judgement blade) was probably the hardest in my opinion. The other two NPCs that were suppose to help me were lag dancing while girgashy was not. I stop potting after I went into potion poisoning, which led to my death from holy contamination. You know what girgashy did? It continuously attacked my dead body with mineral hail (or whatever its call when he jumps on me). Whenever I used a nao stone, he would make a shadow and I would be KO'd ~2 seconds of getting up. (Girgashy was on top of me every time, and kept jumping on me even when I was dead, so I didn't have time to stop the shadow) The first 85% health went well, but I wasted 6 nao stones trying to finish the last 15% of health off.
Overall, 9/10.

I liked it, but why did Pennar have to have lv3 mana deflector... Good thing I had brionac around :>
Though I didn't like the whole everyone's suddenly stronger than me aspect, but then again it retains some balance.
It reminds me of saga, like really? special anti-milletian stuff. I guess it's nice we aren't unbeatable entities that just obliterate whatever, which we eventually do in the end of a generation :P
As for the final, it was somewhat easy for me, I mean for some reason only 1 came at me at the start, so I just killed him and moved on to the other and bam done.

To be honest, I think that Altam is the shoujo hero, and the Milletian is the shounen hero.
If we're giving this a rating scale, then an 8/10 due to the mess it has to clean up, and the fact that it's not complete. Will the next chapter change the rating for better or worse?

Love the story. Hate everything else.
I was low on potions when i started the quest line. Biggest mistake ever, i shoulda had 200 hp 100 pots or something.
by far the hardest storyline ive ever played in mabinogi because of those damn giant monsters that look like glas on steroids.
10/10, love it. I'm not ready for this shit yet, gonna go and do dailies and recollect myself before i tackle it again. First time in a long time that ive had to say that.
and hot damn, that armor. that armor, holy cow that armor. I hope it gets released here, because im ready to pay my soul for some of that armor.

So there's supposed to be 3 seasons after this, totaling 4, right?
I remember it being mentioned in
an old thread there are supposed to be four parts.
This first part being "meeting".
So next will apparently be "adventure", then "war", then finally "divine".
I'm really interested in what this will turn out to be.

Did anyone purposely not complete rank novice crusader skills quest for the 5 second divine blade?
