I really want to try the game out but don't have a demo code. I've never really gotten into Monster Hunter but I heard this one is gonna be pretty good.
This one IS good. It's been a great success in Japan and expansions of the series always have gr8 improvements.
Thank the lord for no underwater combat tho.

Still have 1 NA demo code, just PM me.

Yes it was pretty bad and no one liked it. The camera controls are unbearably bad and makes it x2 worse underwater.

Well, I guess portable it might be bad, but it worked nice on the Wii and Wii U.

gunlance user here. i was really loving the chargeblade but it didn't feel right to just abandon gunlances-- then i saw that they added two new upgrades for the rathian line of gunlances, which were my favorite (shining ishtar was pretty much my baby in 3U). so now im deadset on gunlances again.
that and i know almost everyone is gonna use chargeblades.
also, very excited that kirin is back.

AND the kirin armor returns.
Good god.

yes, and with this i'm sure my character will become kirin girl again after her long hiatus from freedom unite. no more pretending to be kirin girl through lame-o barioth.
sadly i don't recall kirin armor having any relevant skills for my poison gunlancer. i think it was element atk up and resist. not even a single point in evade, gunnery king, or sharpener. woe is me.

Did you see that Gunlances were super buffed because they added a new skill and tweaked some moves? It always felt really weak and underwhelming to me but I loved the idea of the weapon.

The Gunlance can now do a slam attack after jumping off a ledge and do a Full burst after jumping.
The Gunlance can do the Wyvern's Fire while jumping.
The new artillery master skill increases shell damage by a whopping 30% and lowers wyverns fire cool down to 80 sec.

Slightly off topic has anyone here played Hunter Blade and if so what are your thoughts?

It was viable but was still considered low tier and one of the least popular weapons. Lack of mobility compared to lance and long animations. It didnt have really high dps to back that up either, the only good thing it had was being the best "tank" weapon but that's not great in MH.

Last I saw of that it's basically chinese MH. Exact same movesets, slightly changed monster textures, and different maps. Not sure if it's a copyright thing or if they had permission.

tbh i think every weapon was low tier since the kelbi bow existed
