Advice picking a new skillset

  I also like the build of giants but i also plan to play for a very long time. What it seems like is Humans are the balance race, and people that play giants are mainly using them to be the top damage at one style of fighting.
  
  Im a big fan of versatility, i can care less who has the most damage.... But i do care if portions of the game are limited due to me being a giant.
  
  I have been told by giant users that they regret using giants for the reason stated above.... I just wish humans had more "manly" body features.

  
  
  You can still be very versatile as a giant. Humans have access to 19 talents, and giants have access to 18. You only miss out on archery and final hit. Are you going to be an archer? Is your connection even good enough for archery? Will you make extensive use of archery to make the effort worth it? People argue a lot if archery's even up to today's standards. As for final hit, well, WoTG is a good enough substitute.
  
  As a giant, you can still make full use of ninja, alchemy, puppetry, guns, and mage. You don't suffer in damage to note it as subpar. You are still open to those options. on paper and in practice, you're the top in fighter, close/lance combat, and ninja. You're just as good as anyone else at the other talents. It's not just one style of fighting.
  
  As I've said before, being a giant is well worth the cost of archery. No portion of the game will be locked out because you can't hold a bow and arrow, that's for sure. You can have a method for dealing with every type of enemy now. Before you might've been able to argue "But what if an enemy is immune to both magic and melee!? What will the poor giant do in this impractical and rare situation?" and cite that as being locked out of certain content, but that's not the case anymore.
  
  The only notable lack of diversity comes in the form of fashion, and that's highly subjective to a lot of people.

  No i dont plan on being an archer at all.
  
  My current interests are, Ninja, Martial arts, Alchemy, Puppets, Gunslinger.
  
  I think i will be joining the ranks as a Giant.

  Though, if a human wants to have significant dex gains through levels, they will lose out on int and become inferior gunners to giants due to having to pick an age without int gains.
  
  Also, puppets have so much damage the differences between a capped out giant and a capped out human is negligible. Catering helps, too. Also, humans can't really wear heavy armor with puppets since they'd lose out on 35% of their dex. giants would only lose out 10%. If both wore heavy armor, giants would be the better puppeteers. Of course, that'd be dumb on the human's part, but it does add something to consider, especially when heavy armor helps a lot in risky situations.

  Don't pick Archery without reforges. It is more or less a support damage skillset. It's hard to pull off.

  That's wrong because if you ignore int gain from levels on both races, in order to get the most str+dex through levels from age, a giant would be the better gun slinger because they have more int+str combined. In fact, given the situation, they'd be even better than the human because they'd gain more str from levels than the human under such conditions.

  I personally started out as a cleric -> warrior -> puppet -> archer -> and fighter. I pretty much trained everything at the same time so my combat skills are pretty decent. I also have my apothecary done at Expert. Starting skill is best with warrior. It's easier to obtained it too. Also, ninja and fighter are good ones. It's depends on what you're most interested in. Puppet is a very op talent; however, it is more time consuming and required more understanding of its basics. That's why it's not recommended for starting skills. For race, I'm not sure about Giants, but I've been told that Elf are not "best" for warrior. My mabi dad is alchemy and puppet, and yes he's an elf.

  Nope I didnt, I wasnt sure on the specifics of the renovated version besides its stat increases but all it does is reinforce my point even more.

  It's no problem, though I kinda stepped out of this convo a while ago since I already put my two cents in and gave my opinions and advice. I feel like humans is better in the long term but thats for them to decide ultimately.
