I will at least give Devcat credit for removing the aggro on aiming thing, that was just dumb and really heavily plagued archery.
I've not investigated Support or Spider yet, and I can't say much about the new aiming mechanics since I've never seriously archer'd before, but Urgent Shot, as Rydian showed earlier, is stupid as fuck.
- Really small window of usage that is lag susceptible. There is only a THREE second window to load and use it after the missed prior shot, or else it auto cancels. Getting hit with urgent up will also auto cancel it. So if you lag, you're fucked and you can't use it.
- Only NORMAL Ranged Attack hitting Defense or range ping opens the usable window, whereas every other range skill can't (if this was a bug why did they only fix Mirage plague?)
- Can't pushback even shieldless Defense and range ping, failing as a self-defense measure.
- Can STILL miss if an enemy runs away.
- Can't wound at all, which is rather odd for a skillset known for wounding (though in the current game it's hardly relevant now).
- Wastes a shot and throws a weak shot with many flaws, just to make the third shot more accurate.

Well done, Devcat. Good job implementing a shitty skill and not testing your shit. Urgent is really better off as a passive or toggle skill.

I'm actually liking the accuracy rework. Not that I had much problems hitting things before, but I can definitely feel the improvement.
Otherwise, still a shitty update because no neat skills were added in.

^at mid range with a xbow I setup a macro that would spam click the hell out of my mouse button at the fastest speed possible and I never once missed an AR shot after like 10 mins of spamming.
70% might as well be 100%.
It still irks me that it's "70%" however when % were clearly thrown out the window.

So after firing lots of ammo into squishy targets that scream and bleed for some reason, here's my theory on the new aiming system.
50%+ is ~75% chance to hit.
70%+ is 100% chance if the monster is standing still.
??%+ is 100% hit if the monster is walking.
Aim caps still apply, 90% at a running bear can still miss (damn), so there's no "will always hit in every case" since aim won't go above 90% if the target is running. Lag still applies so firing right as your screen says 70% doesn't mean your aim hit 70% on the server (in fact this change may be compensation for that).
However, I can definitely say that the aiming system has improved (a good surprise). Urgent Shot may have been intended to be used when you miss, but people might use it as a Crash Shot primer or something instead.

I have only played a very small bit since this patch (Because every little god damn fucking thing crashes me and kills my want to play.) but so far, on my elf... I've only missed ONE time out of both dailies yesterday that wasn't me spam clicking to get my urgent shot uses off for the quest... lol
This new aim upgrade really is great honestly. It helps out so much. Range still has a lot of it's issues, like normal attack taking priority over everything, but I'm still a little happy at least.

Yeah, like I said before, I'm really liking the aiming rework, I think they actually did very well on it.
But on the topic of urgent shot, I see it as an almost useless skill. And training's not the easiest skill either. If you're gonna make a useless skill, at least make it easy to train.

Urgent Shot needs...
1 - To be a single action.
2 - The push to be a push and not just a knockback meter filler. If Urgent Shot overflows the meter then the enemy doesn't get pushed back.
3 - The total training counts for "after missing" and "in combat" to be raised +50% or so. Alternative, everything give 25% more points per use.
The aim changes are so nice to actually play with that those are my concerns for it in NA.

Planned Urgent Shot - > When a user misses a shot, an icon with the Urgent Shot image would appear next to the user reminding them to press spacebar with an icon of the down arrow pushing down an image of a spacebar with the animation of being tapped. All they had to do was tap spacebar and the skill auto executed, the user can choose to ignore using urgent shot or use it via the spacebar. There was no need to hot bar it. The urgent shot spacebar lasted for 2 seconds after a miss, and refresh itself after every miss.
