Lately, I've seen a decrease in some of the players in Alexina. I remember when Tir would have a lot more people running around in the player shops near Alby, and when cc1 was still full during night hours. Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me?

Ruairi actually feels more prosperous than ever, based on what I see during my activity. Tir's shops are gradually decreasing in favor of Dun and Belvast, you won't see shops in Tir most of the time unless there's some event there or a weekend maybe.
It could also be that Alexina is no longer marked as New, so the fatality/birth rate of player activity is no longer constantly replenished. Which may also explain why Ruairi and probably other servers are feeling more populated. Not sure if the New tag even had that big of an impact though.

Oh boy, this kind of thread again..
Less veteran players, more new players. That pretty much sums it up!
People find new/better places to go to; it's only natural. For example, there are less shops in dunby for Alexina now, and tons more at Belvast.

Everytime someone asks, someone mentions that "x server actually seems more full".
By this spiraling logic, the servers should be full.

It's not just you.
A lot of higher level players quit. New players have replaced them but the game still feels sort of empty.
I largely blame DevCat for the population stagnation. We haven't seen a quality and robust content patch since Shadow Missions (or perhaps commerce). Even the increasingly stale skill/talent updates have slowed down. At this rate we can expect about 30 events and 1 update to make up FY16.

I still see few veterans playing the game including me...
But I do think Mabinogi should have four servers merge into two... maybe Tarlach + Alexina and Ruairi + Mari?
Or perhaps... combine all four into one... lot of people have been asking for this for a while.
But man... if I get a penny for every time a thread about Mabi dying being made... I'd be a millionaire by now.

Keeping players does seem to be a problem lately.
I imagine that is why Nexon launched the New User Ambassador program recently. Hopefully they get off their butt and release some interesting content outside of skill updates. When was the last time we got some really good new content to run anyway?
As for Tarlach where I play, it feels about the same as a year ago when I took an extended break from the game. I am not a high level though so maybe I'm just not seeing the higher end people quitting.

Ruairi feels dead...
Then again it picks up a decent amount during the summer. I also think that they should do a server merge.
If the population bars are correct during character creation that means Ruairi is the server with the least amount of people that play in it and Tarlach has passed us

Not this thread again.
Let me know when the game gets back to the dark days of 2011. You know, the mabipake days. Then we can have this conversation.
Also this is probably THE worst time period to judge game activity, finals and all that

Maybe not dying but for sure being milked.
Mabi's power was grind for aps then grind for ur skills (that kept must players) but now u dont need to grind for aps and all this x2 aps, events, pots and those training pots are releasing the mabi curse

The devs are killing Mabinogi by not developing real content instead of skillsets and events.

One can argue the game is slowly being stabbed to death by a sadistic publisher/developer, but still has many phases to go through before death.

it's not really dying now, but it will be once nexon releases the new games
