Artifact Investigation might be my new "favourite" now.
>chest spawns with 2 mobs
>the one with the key goes into deadly, having flown away
>pet kills it, it's even further away now and I have to go there to pick up the key
>I grab the key and rush to the chest
>it despawns inches away from me
Why is exploration such a suffering?
Can't you run around with Demi-god in that mass statue area near the PvP arena in Elf Desert that noone use for easy ranking levels?
I forgot how the skill was ranked, but I just vaguely remember it was one of the quicker / easier skills out there...

That's Exploration Mastery. Artifact Investigation requires you appraise/restore artifacts on your own, and then give them to Voight.

You're way better off with statue areas than chest ones. Harvest song and gather away. Get a huge lucky and you're swimming in artifacts, and even if you don't you get more per statue than the chests give (and if you want to partner cheese it for doubles you can do that too)
(also if you have exploration mastery maxed the "radar" blips help a ton so there's way less guesswork)
Oh wow, now I finally know what all those goat statues in the desert are for! And why hitting them with any kind of weapon had no effect... Thank you! :onionru:

Speaking of which I'm assuming the skill is fixed?
Back during the most recent dragon tamer event I tried using it to uncover the box I needed and every single time my character got stuck with the icon up, unable to cancel or do anything. I had to force-quit every time.

I don't think I ever encountered such a problem?

Yes, I still remember that glitch. I believe it's fixed now, at least for me, I did some Artifact Investigation training earlier and my character didn't got stuck.

I'll chime in and say this was an absolute pain to rank without being able to afk overnight with a script. Glad its gone and r1 and to be casually mastered.

I don't think Crisis Escape reaches to the level of annoyance compared to Grapple Shot or Smokescreen, though.
Honestly I still wish Crisis Escape didn't exist at all. It's such a cheap move that basically renders Play Dead mostly worthless.

You don't know the half of it. With a level 20 shadow cloak duration reforge it is essentially 2 second window of not being able to drop aggro. With level 14 an elf can go right into hide after expiration of it and crisis escape.

Wtf... That's even worse than I initially thought it would be. I figured it would just make Play Dead useless and put Shadow Cloak to shame, but combining it with an enhanced Shadow Cloak duration to be able to stall out aggro long enough to regain Hide is just ridiculous.

There's nothing ridiculous about that at all, you could always just log off and go hours/days/weeks/months without getting aggro. You don't gain anything by idling around.

Qnjo wrote on 2015-09-18 23:16
What's really ridiculous is getting insta-aggroed by a dozen of tanky mobs with advanced heavy. Shadow Cloak is only one of the very few ways of dealing with that. Devs dug that grave themselves.

Yeah a lot of Mabi's combat system was originally based on the idea that monsters followed the same rules as players, and we'd win by being smarter and working harder.
Then they made different changes to either side and started adding things that flat-out ignore the rules, so players have to resort to cheap tactics to counter it.
