  It's a shame that leveling partners is a pretty slow endeavor.
  And if her Playing/MK/Windmill/etc follow the same pattern as the Commerce Partner's skills, then that means she'll get r4 playing at level 80, and won't get r1 until level 200.

  Don't you all remember the beauty that is the Shire? Released roughly 8 years ago for NA, it would cost you 10$ (9,900 NX back then)
  And what could you do with it? you could put two people on it, some items, and it was updated to be color selectable some time ago.
  
  And in this day in age, we have Laighlinne, she only costs 10$ more, but what do we get for that?
  

  
  
  • An inventory about the same size of a player (6x10).
    
  • Daily gifts.
    
  • Music Buffs (some will not use these, I know)
    
  • She has a few voiced quotes.
    
  • She is about as customisable as a player character, if not more.
    
  • Can be turned into a 2-seater mount that can also fly for just 7$.
    
  • A remote repair facility for general goods, as well as chairs (which had a capped repair rate of 92% before now)/

  With all the nifty stuff that pets and partners have been getting these days, we should be glad the prices of them didn't go up with that.
  Heck if you put her next to the shire she's probably worth over 50$, easily.

  I've been running Alby Adv HM while having her out.
  Though I've also ran some HM Shadow Missions, too.
  
  Been keeping her out in one summon session without desummoning her for an extra 3 Favor per day.
  Gotta get that +1 Favor per 60 minutes!

  After seeing some of the points in this thread, I feel a bit more confident about justifying the purchase of this partner, as quite a few responses answered some lingering questions I had and even some questions I didn't think about. Laighlinne is worthwhile. The main points that won me over were the increased repair rate for chairs (no more waiting for 100% events to repair my fishing chair) and the updated list of potential gifts (Lucky Upgrade Stones? If you say Protection Stones are also in the list I may need a change of pants). However, aside from cosmetics/completion, I'd say the boat is not worthwhile at all.
  
  I was going to buy one for my (first) Commerce Partner, since she is the only one of my partners equipped with all mount attachments (Maid has broom, Butler has carriage, second Commerce partner has feet), but I think I'll hold off on that until towards the end of the offer and see how I feel then. The boat can fly, but you'd be better off just using a two-seater flying pet. When otherwise compared to the different aspects of the flightless carriage, the boat is redundant at best and inferior at worst (a bigger problem since the carriage is actually on sale right now for half price).

  I've leveled my pets/partners through bandit hunting, which gives roughly 3k~7k. IIRC pets/partners gain 25% of the EXP their master gets, maybe more with Intelligence, which translates to 1k~2k for the pet/partner.

  Well I've only been taking mine out while hunting Ancients in Scathach Beach, 2 days of that got her to 59, a Shadow Wizard and an AAHM later and she's 63.
