About those voice-overs, laighlinne_14.wav in particular... it's quite interesting thing to say. Assuming it's not an communication error between recording studio and dev team.
I really hope there will be a sequel to wrap things up.

I think a lot of you are falling for this. This partner really doesn't have any combat value. Just rank up your own bard skills? The rewards seem like really chancy as in you could expect the stones once or twice a month.
My favorite part is that nexon expects you to spend 25k nx to get the full effect of it as a mount and a partner

No pet has combat value anymore except the ones with summon effects l, and you have to buy at least five of them to even get much use out of those. She's just about a useful as a regular partner though, and you had to buy separate vehicles for them too.

I can understand people wanting it for fashion purpose but anyone leveling it for music buffs is deluding themselves still I dont think regular partners are that useful either excluding commerce

Double gathering says hi. When you're dealing with gathering sources that have a limited amount of gathering every so often (dye wells for example) getting at least double goes a long way. I also use my maid for portable cloth repair at 99% and more.
And this new thing? Portable chair repair at 95%, and it'll just get higher right? Walter repairs chairs at 92% flat, and Art is 98% for instruments (so chair-like ones such as pianos and harps now work on him at least) but he's pretty out of the way when doing a repair run and doesn't do other chairs anyways. There have literally been times when I've wanted to play something for somebody but we were far away from a source of blank score scrolls, and I have said "I wish partners sold score scrolls". Well, this one actually does, which means I can whip out score scrolls for people without having to break to go back to a town.
I could go on. Partners literally give things you can't get otherwise, quicker access to higher-grade repair types than normal NPCs, come with new features, and let you make more use of existing features of the game.
Anybody who says partners are useless is simply self-centered. "I don't personally have a use for it, therefore it's bad", because so many people in this forum forget that this is a goddamned MMO and there's other people that play the damned game.

When does this partner start to double gather? I'm assuming it's the same as maid/butler?

Holy shit, why do you care how other people spend their money or if something is worth it or not to a specific person? You cant measure this worth based on facts, its completely opinion based worth. I bought the partner simply because it was a limited time partner and it was new, not because of what comes with her. Some people's definition of worth is different from other people's definition of worth, and the fact of the matter is you cant decide if its worth it for someone else to buy the partner nor can you berate them for determining it was worth it to them. In the end, what wasn't worth it to you might be worth it to another person for different reasons and different circumstances. Don't try to determine if buying the partner was worth it or not because in the end your opinion will differ from others' opinions.

Music buffs can be handy if you don't want to pull an instrument out of your inventory every time you need to buff yourself while soloing training grounds.

Hey did you know that the minimal hunting outfit that comes with the partner is worth 10m on alexina? That means that combined with its other features its technically not a waste nx wise.

What does that have to do with the pets usefulness?

You could literally buy 25k nx for 10m and then buy partner + partner unlock, sell the outfit for 10m and you end up with a FREE full-featured partner and FREE 4k nx.
And again, all the conveniences it offers are worth it to people who have an use for them. Some people are too busy making gold/exp/fun to waste a continent warp on Effie just for repairs. Or they just want the other partner features along with the feeling of owning the new hotness. Or they just think Meryl is a qt and want to stare into her pixel eyes all day and 10m to get her and a romantic boat to sail away in is a steal.
If someone doesn't have a use for what it offers, they can always just not buy it and get the next pet that suits them better.

Well if were talking about worth, the only REAL way to measure somethings worth when its completely opinionated is its nx to gold ratio. If you cant break even in some way shape or form for gold earned by the nx spent then its not "worth it" to some people, but even THAT is broken by the fact that just the outfit makes the character financially worth the nx invested into it. This isnt even taking into account the inventory space, features, and free items received from the partner gifts either. So technically, YES it was totally worth the nx spent on it factually.

Actual usefulness isn't worth it, if the only reason you bought your partner being some outfit then good for you but that doesn't translate into use. Believe it or not putting real money into pixels and pixel money isn't really a good investment anyway. I honestly doubt people are buying it for how much you say anyway...Probably some trickster...You should look at what the pet actual does which other than take other peoples money then its nothing.

Maybe its usefulness isnt worth it to you, but to other people it might be. In the end your trying to equate your opinions on if its useful or not into fact when thats literally impossible. I gave you the only factual measurement of worth for this partner and it shows that technically it is a good investment, because yes people are buying for that much. You cant measure a the partner's worth based on its usefulness to YOU because its usefulness to you may be less than it is to someone else. In the end your trying to pass off opinions as facts and thats incorrect.
You seem to have a bit of bias towards spending irl money on games in general, and honestly thats annoying as its really none of your concern how people spend their money and dumb to berate others for how they spend it. And if you want to get technical, you can invest money into a game and make profit if you do it wisely, so no its not as clear cut as "investing into pixels isnt a good investment anyways".
