Besides the occasional field boss, the few dungeons, exploration, and G7+8 mainstream, Iria is useless!
I cannot help but look back to the yonder days of G3 when I with great anticipation anticipated the anticipated arrival of the generally greatly anticipated Iria continent. Yet knowing nothing of its content (or lack thereof) I was in a state of great excitement upon hearing that it was going to be 9000 times bigger than Uladh.
Of course, after about 30 minutes of running around in deserts and forests full of nothing, my hopes crashed and smoldered to the ground. I mean, at least they could have included some music or something to make the long journeys less dull.
What are your thoughts of this?

Could have been more interesting, I agree. Like maybe another race that does especially well in Magic XD

Well, it gives Elf/Giants trans.
And it gave us Elf/Giants as well.
Really I only go to Iria if I feel like staring at scenery for a bit. Or to do stuff in Filia.

The new director apparently said that they would go back to the new areas and revamp 'em.
Looking forward to him keeping his word.

ALSO, it is not fair how G7+G8 completion isn't counted in the Journal.
What gives? G1~G3 count!
It should count at least G8.
This angers me very much.

You know what I've noticed?
How come there's cheese in Uladh, but not in Iria?

The milk is either frozen in the north or evaporated in the desert before can get out of the cow

I guess it's because there aren't any rat monsters in Iria. Either that, or the GDP of Uladh is too low to sustain a favorable trade balance if it attempts long distance trading of dairy products. It is my guess that too many cows get killed by brown foxes (causing of course a dairy shortage), and as a result, a ban on transport of said dairy products was enacted by the kingdom of Aliech. The imperial court at Rath castle most likely saw the folly in paying the opportunity cost which would most certainly rear its ugly head if the markets in Iria were to receive disproportionate quantities of the evidently valuable capital known as "cheese". The other possibility of such economic policy would be that the macro-economy of Iria may develop into a mercantile imperial power by shipping milk harvested from its large gnu population and shipping it over to Uladh which would then process said milk into cheese, which would be sold back to Iria by the manipulation of the market system by the entrepreneurship of crafty milletians capitalizing on their longevity and defiance of the laws of physics. Thus, the cow population of Uladh will not be protected owing to the fact that the gnus of Iria are in much larger proportion thus the kingdom of Aliech will no doubt be subject to economic bondage to Iria.
That is why there is no cheese in Iria.
