This would be like in medieval times, no one would learn how to read and the church shall control us all.

At least they no longer influence the government. And you don't often see people that are very, very dedicated to the church.

O.o
School is totally necessary... Not only do kids get more social but they also get classes where they might learn a new passion. I would have never realized how fun acting would be without my friends and attending Drama...

It's ironic how (traditional public) school is becoming less and less helpful and effective, yet more and more required and desired.
Homeschooling all the way. If the parents are in a position where they're able to manage something like that, there's no better option. The impact of being close with your family is second to none... I was homeschooled for a few years in junior high with my brother, and that made our family very close. I also learned more in that time than the rest of my school years combined in public/private school. Homeschooled kids still use real curriculum and accredited sources and resources. And with the advent of more and more groups an co-ops, there's no excuse for being "anti-social".
This whole un-schooling thing is pretty stupid, though.

Uhm... Well, less competition for me in the job market.
Don't mind that sorry if that sounds super mean but I live in Michigan, the economy sucks if not the worst in the United States so getting a job is like finding a needle in a hay stack, especially where i live, which is a small town, your best bet of getting a good-reasonable paying job is the hospital.

The only thing that matters is if the student in question is motivated. Sometimes, finding motivation can be hard, and he/she will need to be exposed to as many things as they can. Regular school can help in this regard, but it's not always necessary. The world is fast-paced, and unschooling just slows down kids when they're in their peak for learning, which can hinder them in their job searches later on.

Well you know Michigan is pretty much known for cars since Ford and the first car was built in Michigan. So for many many years Michigan really revolved around cars which is where thousands of people had jobs. Then when the car sales began declining SO many people lost jobs in the factories. Especially ones that had to do anything with cars. So i think thats really the main reason. American car sales have gone to the crapper = people being laid off.
Funny thing is both grandparents of mine worked for Ford and i guess my Grandpa told my father to never work for a car company because of this.
This is for Michigan at least...

Right, America sucks because their auto factories are slow. As compared to other countries that have none.
