Evie: The Battle Scythe

  I have rank E Critical Hit, and the only reasons I stopped ranking it are: 1) the AP doesn't give the same boost as the first rank does, and 2) There are many other things I'd rather rank. The physical component of Evie's attacks is dwarfed by the magical one. By the same logic, I haven't spent anything on Strength Mastery (yet). However, as I near the limit on what I can use AP for, I have no fear in ranking Critical Hit.
  
  So far, the only times I've missed a Bloody Thread were when I totally whiffed on the last hit of Bloody Loom. I've never seen a critical hit knock a monster away where I couldn't still perform the snap after. I generally try to whiff the earlier attacks anyway, as otherwise I'll end up killing things before I can land the final hit of Bloody Loom.

  actually, we did (papa, glamorous and I) but it fells on deaf ears. Just depend on critical thinkers to decide for themselves.. which isn't so hard once you've actually played in the later boats; but even the opinion of other korean players isn't taken well either apparently.
  
  eventually people will see that it is no big deal at all, and hopefully this silly black-and-white stance on crit will be lifted.
  
  at the rate that the server is updating though, itll be quite some time.
  
  @whocares, I have it at E for the same reason. nummy damage, but havn't ap grinded on my evie here on NA yet.

  it does since your L attacks as well as the upswing of smashes are physical IIRC, however you should never spec for STR over INT unless you're going icicle farming.

  As we keep saying over and over again. It's impossible to fk up any Character, skill wise. At worse, it'll just take you longer to be properly set.
  
  Just start focusing on stuff you actually need. From what I see, you're a Staff Evie, right?
  
  So start focusing on
  Magic Arrow
  Firebolt
  Cloth Armor (as opposed to light armor)
  Int Mastery
  Magic Mastery
  Magic Crit Mastery
  Agility Mastery
  Def Mastery
  
  By the time you mastered all of this, you should be good.

  You'll probably be dealing less damage from the start, but Vindictus is basically unlimited AP, if you keep continue playing you can max both Staff and Scythe skills.

  Critical Hits only affects Evy's Smash attacks, so normal attacks and bolt skills (Magic Arrow and Firebolt) are not affected by Critical Hits. Magical Critical hits, however, does affect the Magic Arrow and Firebolt spells.

  Basically there's two little parts to Evie's smashes, there's a physical component and a magical component to it. You see, what Tasha is trying to say is that ranking up Critical Hits will cause your magical component of your smashes to miss since higher critical rate equals more monsters flying around. Ranking it up to E won't screw you over that much, and it may/may not be useful in the later episodes, since monsters don't get pushed around as much.

  Hi all, I'm new to vindictus and I wanted to ask.. Which should be maxed as maximum priority after I get my scythe at level 24?? I've got both smash and scythe mastery to D for the time being (and combat mastery F or E, I forget), level 25. Which should be maxed with highest priority then maxed next? Thank you!
