@Chinaboy475 : quite opposite, many of the mages including me, have already mastered Refine and, got to somewhere of Weaving , or even r1. And again, we are not even comparing Archer and Mage here srsly. Though ofc, to say at the least, i am happy that archery got some buff myself so there is that.

Its true no matter how much you give someone something they will always complain.
Magic is still pro, this nerf was made to make Basic and Inter magic weaker so they didn't have to make adv magic anymore overpowered. This way mages will get to see what it is like for archers, and how little to no int will make magic weak, a fair amount of int will make you strong and a lot of int will make you awesome pro.
This makes the game way more balancing since Magic was indeed such a overpowered skill set without that much requirements since int is very easy to get compared to dex where you can get less then 200 from range skills. So what that I need this much ap to be back where I once were. You wouldn't be complaining if it was like this to begin with now would you?
Magic has received a slight boost. Now deal with it and stop complaining like spoiled brats. Its getting annoying."

Uhm... i agree with both... mostly Jando, magic was kinda overpowering with thunder noobs i mean 500k and they acted pro but many things have changed
i very much LOVE the change for int and debuff of int adv magics (melee guy giant going hybrid magic soon) i believe this formula is much needed as int did really NOTHING b4 and was useless now... it stands a chance... in something as dmg and magic def boost. alchemy is prob the most hax pre g12 as no alchemy skills could be evaded. now that they can be evaded its less hax but watching a total 500 alchemist down total 2000's is kinda sad... no ... really..
pure alchy hit back->wc-> windblast-> wc->charge->frozen blast (with windcylinder)-> sets up tower cylinder close range->fires 6 wc's which crit 30% of the time as frozen lowers prot and def (it does good dmg at rank 1 with buff enchants) then he finishes with a rank 1 heatbuster crit for like... 500 dmg in a 10% duel it might have been more.. as i watched him hit 8.4k on a mob with tower cylinder HB crit :D lol
but I feel i'm wandering off topic.
Magics only down fall is charge time >.> which can be fixed with charge.. alchemy/freeze combo... fast cast... but still the int formula is nice... well done nexon (bout time IMO) and i can't wait for g14/15 int magics :D

Lol, i don't even know where to begin to correct your comment, even if it is not all wrong. Also it seems you know more about Alchemy than Magic or so to say. Freedom of words though. Btw, not being picky but its DevCat game, not Nexon.
Something to cool down the heat..pink dragon

Nah, don't mind me actually, since magic is all about experiencing it, seeing people using it won't help you understand (like magic downfall is not only cast time), so are other tabs. So yea i am not trying to be offensive or anything.
You can select the color, or at least seems so. Therefore you can have your purple dragon if nexon ever releases it here ~

Hm.. First post cause I lurk.
I'd complain a bit but I'm just going to view G13 as a buff. I myself am a Mage/Archer/Alchemist hybrid, and have invest quite a bit of AP on my magic skill tree.
Class = whatever you choose, you're specialization (e.g. you're a mage) you gain stats that help you out along with the 2x skill training.
Sure people at the lower end may complain that their Thunder Spamming or Ice Spear spamming (whoever does this must be rich/an elf) BUT if you keep playing anyway you'll get levels along with the int and the AP to get more int, thus getting stronger in the end of it.
It was already mentioned by someone in previous pages that G13 is more of a specialization generation. Not exactly meant to be something of the sort, but regardless it does somewhat touch that field. So, why complain about magic if you suck at it in the beginning anyway?
Bolts:
As for masteries regarding magic, bolts are getting a buff. Intermediate magic is getting nerfed but not as much as people would Q~Q about.
Bolts are given two respective masteries. One for their own Element, and one for being Bolts.
Bolt Mastery - At R1 = 15% more dmg
Elemental Masteries - At R1 = 15% more dmg +20% MP cost Reduction
Not to mention that the Elemental Masteries give Int. One can also throw in Bolt Composer
Bolt Composer at Rank 1 : + 15% dmg to Composite bolts + 29 Int
Not to mention all the etc people seem to leave out like Wand Bonuses/Mana Reduction bonuses (set/enchants) + dmg from dmg enchants (although miniscule) + S/R Upgrades for Wands (namely Increased Crit dmg from Magic [+3 R type upgrade = 26% more dmg from crit])
So really all the people complaining about magic would be ones who:
- Low level mages w/ less int
- Mid level mages w/ enough int but don't want to grind out levels for AP to compensate for the Intermediate magic nerf
- Blaze Mages (dunno why people would ONLY focus on this)
- Ice Spear Spammers (since it's the Int Magic that loses the most in G13)
@Jking
Your post is focused on the PVP aspect of things... so I don't know how you're saying when Mage should go Alch (Frozen blast) to compensate for the charge time (or damage loss) for pvp... <_<''
So yeah.

Yea, i know overall g13 is a buff. But the large amount of AP needed for that buff does make me feel irritated, just because it is specialized generation, it shouldn't mean we need to spend a lot more AP for those like that (half of the total AP might be just for getting the old dmg back). It might be worth and better than how i am imagining and QQing here, i don't mind be proven wrong though since it is still a win situation for me, lol.
And yea that was what i kinda wanted to say about Jking post too.

@Otaku
I know your pain. I wanna QQ too but like I said, I want to treat G13 as more of a buff than said nerf. I know for sure that Int Magic will suffer (unless you're Trigger <_<). Hell, Riaheavenly in Youtube posted the R1 Blaze Nerf in JP and showed that it was weakened so much that it was like having R5 Blaze. =_='
Few things about G13 that irritate me would be:
Intermediate Magic Nerf
Blaze Nerf (I use it to solo Offering Adv) =_=
Super melee buff xD (Something that I actually QQ about since I can't WM rooms for carp)
And I'm going to call it out... Nexon NA, cause you know what evils they can unleash with patches.
@Bliz
I'm poor (I.e. I can't rebirth weekly like those total lv4k people) but I have enough levels per RB to showing a good Lv/RB ratio, plus Pre-open beta player xD So yup I gotta know my stuff.
On a Side note-
Alchemy is getting overly buffed, hence why I moved to working on my Alchemy skills. I mean the new masteries/cylinders are crazy. Not to mention the wtf golem sizes. And for anyone who wants luls here is a link to a video.

Yes i was mostly figuring that on pvp based but.... also a good tactic against monsters in hardmode so pls dont underestimate it especially against those *****y bosses :D
