I'm only embarrassed about saying the name. It's so stupid sounding and obscure.
But obscure things are awesome!

Only my husband and a couple of RL friends know I play mabi, because they play it too. Generally I don't talk about it, though. People would find me boring.
I DO rant about Eve Online, however.

If someone makes fun of me for playing games, they don't get anymore of my time.

None of my friends really care. My main friends also play MMOs and tons of other games while my acquaintances don't care as long as I play other games like Call of Duty with them.
In fact, one of my friends, Mark, who is the kind of guy who looks like a nerd but is super strong (Physically) plays World of Warcraft.

Yep
I don't tell my friends that I play mmorpg's. Even if I did, they still don't know what that is
Nobody plays mmo around here, except for the nerds in the back of the school... ew
lol in a sense i am sort of like that nerd in the back of the school LOL. but then, my other nerd friends all play fps and sc2...or they just dont play games in general o-o

I have yet to meet a guy in real life who thinks my addiction the internet games is anywhere near sexy. xD
What a shame. :( Pretty much all the girls I meet IRL are like...completely oblivious to games. At least that's how they present themselves.

And the sad thing is that there are so many people on Mari server from Toronto and I don't know a single one of them. But no, I get laughed at for liking anime and MMOs~
To Aru Majutsu No Index > Twilight
I'm just saying.

I think I'm most embarrassed by the amounts of money wasted on it. . . none of my friends say I look like a gamer even though I kinda am a hard core one, but they know I'm a dork and love me anyways though so its okay :3

I present myself as someone completely oblivious to games, lol. xD
Someone I know actually mentioned Mabinogi to me once, and I pretended I didn't know what it was; I was like "what's a mabanogo?"

No, why the hell should i care if people ***** about me playing any game in general and why should i let myself get embarraessed for playing a game?
People who are ashamed of playing/doing something call it guilty pleasure, I call it letting people ***** smack you around and tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing.

If someone asks me, I'll go ahead and tell them. The only embarrassing thing would be my lack of self control.

I said I played Vindictus once, two kids in the back chuckled. I really have no idea what goes through those kids heads to know if it's a, "Hey, look, he's a geek" or something else.

When I brought my laptop to school to play mabinogi during those days when I had a ridiculous amount of free periods, I was almost always grinding exploration.
So my friends thought it was boring. I didn't mind though. Their loss. One of my friends who called this game "gay" was hardcore RO and I laughed inside...
So yeah, playing this game isn't embarrassing. It just isn't well known enough among my peers who play TF2/COD/etc really.
