I don't get why people qq over what's fair and what's not. It's a game. Seriously? You'll live.
Never understood why it mattered if one race is "better" than another or "more balanced", etc.
Well, it's because I love the game that I want there to be some sort of balance.
I want to see an even number of giants, elves, and humans. I want people to choose their race because it piques their interest. "Oh weaker in melee but great for range and magic? YES" "I want MELEE, THAT IS WHO I AM. So thus I become giant!" "I want to be able to use all, so become human".
Yet when one race has a significant advantage or gets a boost to what is a racial weakness, it becomes unbalance and the ratio will drop. Even now giants are behind. If this goes on, fewer people will choose giants since they can be "Good in Magic and Range, and compete with humans in terms of defense (heavy armor) and two-handed weapon" as an elf. Why be human when you can be a Master Ranger and Better Magician with Great Defense and Two-hander with the ability to use said enchants?
But I'll leave it here. I may just be blowing off steam and I apologize if I seem aggressive. I just feel bad for the giants.

Elves don't deal the same damage as humans or giants. As you probably know, aside from the intrinsic damage boost from str, the smash bonus is bigger when you are stronger.
There's a difference of 74 str difference from skills between elves and humans, and 82 str difference between elves and giants.
Also str gained from level up are a lot lower compared to humans and giants, until age 18 (impractical age).
Elves get a slower and weaker version of human/giant smash and I honestly think in comparison they are better off spamming elf mag
That's the thing. Elves at least have the option of performing some serious smash damage while giants don't have that option of doing some serious range damage over time.
With the availability of what was essentially human-giant only enchants, it doesn't matter if the Human has 384 max damage and the elf has 362 with a two-handed weapon, that's still high for an elf and if it connects, it will hurt.
I'll end my woes here. I don't want to argue something that may or may not come here. So I'll just leave it as is.
