I say don't buy your crush a gift unless she's an actual close friend in the first place. This might be pessimism talking, but if she doesn't share the same feelings for you, you'll either A) get made a fool of in front of everybody, and being able to return what you bought for a refund, or B) She accepts the gift, but doesn't reciprocate your feelings, meaning that you just spent money on someone that doesn't have interest in you.

Instead, just tell her your feelings, and see if she responds positively. If she does, then go out and get her a gift. If not, then you save yourself some money. It's a lot better in the long run to find out how she feels about you first before you make an ass out of yourself. :V

I think I already posted it, but I already mentioned long ago that I confessed to her last year (I didn't ask her out though), and I didn't get a negative response from it. This year I found out she's sort of interested in me from a good friend, but I'm not going to interpret that as "I should ask her out."

Anyway, the main reason I wanna buy her a gift is just because I want to, and I may as well since I'm getting gifts for other people. I don't mind if she's already friendzoned me or anything though, since I can't do anything about that. It actually sounds like a better idea if we just stay friends since I'm not too confident in myself as a boyfriend.

Here is a solid sound tip. Something that shows your appreciation of her. Something that doesn't scream "I'm creepy". Nothing that would potentially insult her (dammit xiyamae, perfume is not a good choice, especially against fickle girls). Nothing she would get and shrug it off because it doesn't interest her or it doesn't really have any use for her.

And to fit this you pretty much start off with home made chocolate. Its good to go with flowers too, but sometimes that can feel excessive. Solution? Home made chocolate roses.

I'll teach you how to do it if you're interested.

Edit: Gamer girls like games, but thats a step you take only after you've gotten close enough to be able to ENJOY said games WITH them. The game's appeal is only in the game itself, not the giver, unless you manage to become friendly enough to be able to go over to her house, in which case you can buy her a game and say "lets play it together".

If you're already friends, then go ahead and get her a nice gift, but nothing fancy. And give her a card that has your heartfelt thoughts written out in it. You'll never know how good of a boyfriend you can be if you don't go out and become one in the first place. If she does kinda have feelings for you, then why not go for it? At worst, it'll be a positive experience for you to take from if your relationship does go sour.

I don't want my parents to stare at my from across the hallway making embarrassing remarks and my brother eating all the chocolate before I can even do anything with it.
