  That is so true. Join a sport team, lot of moments, lol. Though I don't really see how this will endanger the troops. Being gay, or not. The military beats discipline in to yeah. That, and being in a life and death situation kinda nullifies the thing anyway. I mean if your gay or not, if in a combat situation, I hope you have my back as much as I would have yours.

Translators, strategists, etc., etc. Not only that, but some gay men and women never asked or told, yet were "outed" by their peers when they'd read their personal private emails and whatnot. I also remember reading of a gay woman who would do sexual favors for men in exchange for their silence because she didn't want to get kicked out.
  
  It's silly to implement a don't ask, don't tell law and ask gay people not to speak of their homosexuality, when straight men love to boast about how many girls they've f***ed or how they love tits and ass. Yet gay men can't even speak about their significant other of the same sex who's waiting for them at home, just like all those other wives as well? It's silly.
  
  If you wanted a fair law, you'd have to ask the same from everyone. Gays and straights. It was obvious an issue with homosexuality, which is immature and backward, if you think about it. Other governments don't have an "don't ask, don't tell" policy, why should we?
  
  It was either treat everyone with the same degree of strictness or repeal it. And I'm glad the Senate chose to repeal it finally after 17 years.
  
  If it doesn't matter if you're straight or gay, why have it in the first place? We're just being hypocritical by having it in place.

  Yet its still legal to refuse service to gay people in half of America's restaurants. What is this, the 1950's?
