Artisan, S type and R type upgrades?

  I would be particularly glad if you could list the bonuses for wands and staffs.

  The new upgrade system render most spirit weapons useless. Powerful upgraded/enchanted weapons easily compete with and often outclass their spirit weapon equivilents at a fraction of the cost and time. The R-type upgrades are definitely brutal. This is especially true of upgraded ranged weapons because ranged damage is primarily composed of damage obtained through dexterity and skills.
  
  Spirit two-handed weapons are hit the hardest as the upgraded variants already come close to their ego counterpart.

  Artisan upgrades are alternative upgrades for your 5th upgrade (AKA when your weapon is at 4/5 upgrades). Instead of changing your weapon's stats (like damage or critical), it changes your character's stats (such as Strength or Dexterity), like enchants. An example is up to +70 Intelligence for applying on an Artisan Upgrade to a wand. Up to 4 stats can be changed (increase or decrease), and the amount of change is random.
  
  Requires: 100 Proficiency and 20k gold
  
  R/S Type upgrades are applicable after Gem Upgrade is applied. S-type upgrades boost damage, while R-type upgrades boost critical damage.
  
  You need a Red Upgrade Stone for each R-Type upgrade attempt, and a Blue Upgrade Stone for each S-Type upgrade attempt. Once you do, take your weapon and your desired stone to this Forge (found pretty much in every habitable town):

  Every weapon can have up to 3 upgrades of the same type (R and S type upgrade cannot intermingle) in G13, and up to 6 in G14. Your first attempt (lvl 1) has a 100% success rate. Every attempt after that has a 50% success rate. Failure will result in dropping the upgrade lvl down by 1 (it can reach below that). Every attempt requires the same type of stone and 30k gold, so it's not cheap if you want to get a high lvl. Your weapon will be personalized to you (like an ego) right after the first attempt of R/S Type upgrading it, and won't be de-personalized even if you drop the lvl below 1 by failure.
  
  Your weapon will have a glow, growing larger and more noticeable per lvl. Red glow for R-type upgrade, blue glow for S-type upgrade.

  Does anyone know if Long Bows are S-Type or R-Type compatible or if they will be? The mabi JP wiki seems to list only the Highlander Long Bow, Leather Long Bow and Elven Long Bow as S/R-Type compatible (or at least google translate seems to think so) and besides Highlander, neither of the other two bows are quite as... good as the regular Long Bow.
  
  They also have a list of bows that are not compatible, but I can only make out Composite and Elven Short from that.

  Man this is so cool. Right now a pair of bastard swords can easily outdamage the brionac in terms of raw damage and can more or less match the jousting claymore with the right set of enchants (requires high dex though). These upgrade paths could theoretically push the BS swords over the jousting claymore with pure damage alone. Definately looking forward to this.

  Yeah... I'm sure Devcat sees this by now and will in either g14s2 or g15 will probably create a HUGE update to ego's otherwise... if they dont... I quit..
  
  What would be the point of wasting 18 mil in an ego if you can have 1 for... maybe 800k

  That boost to critical damage is definitely the main killer of attack ego weapons though.

  For dual wielding and the crit damage bonus. They're still calculated separately right? Because with 2 swords you can get a boost of +68% Crit. (Not including the 6th slot)
