  Actually, river walking has little to do with rafting. It is not something you do instead, it is useful for other activities. Rafting is still best for what it is intended for: exploration exp, or the aqcuisition of the various rewards for turning in stars.
  
  As for the TOS: so? You are still not one to say who is right or wrong. You are not given free reign to be rude to someone just because they are doing something against the TOS. If you think it will accomplish anything, then by all means report someone using the ticketing system if you witness them abusing a glitch. But being rude to them will still be wrong, and could possibly subject you to violation of TOS, harassing other players.
  
  And, since we are focusing on competitive advantages: having to walk from point A to point B is recognized by nexon/devcat as a hindrence. as such they offer waxen wings and mount-type pets to facilitate travel. mounts are also noticably more expensive than other pets with similar inventory, combat stats, and summon time. Even more speedy travel is clearly made more expensive by a simple comparison of thoroughbred vs shire or eagle vs pelican. Clearly being able to travel more conveniently and or speedily is a competitive advantage.
  
  Abusing housing coupons is faster than any pet, and uses less inventory space than a waxen wing, with unlimited uses. Competitive advantage there. So are you going to be reporting people you see asking for rides via this glitch?

You can't get on raft and disconnect (or use fliers/housing key) to create your own coupons for river glitching anyways since it got patched long ago.   lol, some people just believe that people act in one behavior in all situations or something. Cheating in game = Bad Character irl is a really stupid argument.
  
  While some people may nerd-rage or whatever they do in-game/in-forum, when they quit the game, it is still just a game. Some people have a hard time remembering that.

  Im not trying to proof anything about housing, I am simply trying to state that this river glitch is against the TOS, therefore is wrong, therefore should not be done.

  I wouldn't know. Apparently I've never glitched the river. I've heard from some it was patched, I've heard from some that the exact method of getting onto the river changed a few times. I have no clue how to get onto the river at this point, other than of course getting a ride there.
  
  I personally would much rather see the game fixed for the better, rather than a bunch of self-rightions online-moralists trying to crusade against the evil players in the game. The problem would go away if devcat/nexon fixed their damn bugs, all of them, even the ones that can be abused for competitive advantages.
  
  What I have been arguing this whole time, is that everyone should be courteous to each other. Be it the person abusing a glitch toward someone "legit" or the other way around. We both enjoy our game, even if in different ways. There are plenty of opportunities to compete with each other for things like mobs and sheep already, this instance is no different than any other. If you act like a tool, it doesn't matter if the person you are being rude to is breaking the TOS or not, you're still a tool.
  
  @Time: we all should obey the TOS. Some choose not to.
  
  I'm pointing out that there are far more people who abuse glitches and accept it (housing) than most realize, and to stop being hypocrits in regards to river walking. I'm pointing out that when rafter meets river walker, neither should be rude to the other. But the river walker, legit or breaker of tos, was there first (due to how rafting works). It is rude to kill steal, and it is not acceptable to rage against said person or harass them (also against the tos to harass).
  
  It is also against the tos to modify your client in -any- way, while most sane people are at least accepting of mods that change the in-game font for lag purposes, as well as purely cosmetic graphics changes. Buying or selling NX for in-game gold player to player is also against the TOS. There are apparently lots of things against the TOS that people regularly just accept.

  Like river coupons. people glitched to get there, but then use a legal way to get back there. At 1st sight it looks the coupons are the glitch, but the glitch is on fact the method that allowed you to get on the river on 1st place
  
  My elf friend helped my project rm character's baol final. I don't recall, but that elf was probably led to baol via housing glitch for convenience sake. I don't recall if I was unable to give him one of the passes to baol or not. Assuming you are saying they can't get there, then it seems to me that getting to baol as an elf or giant is a glitch by your own definition too.
  
  If memory doesn't fail me, you can trade the passes with other races, however they can't get into the dungeon. Unless that changed after g9 got released

  Interferes with other players when used: owner of house used to facilitate this travel loses fliers paid for with their money. Common abuse of this glitch can frequently expend said players limit of 100 fliers, forcing them to rebuy them repeatedly, and potentially lose out on sales.
  
  I can't see how you don't understand this is just as obviously a glitch being abused as river walking is.

  - The second you enter the raft, onRaft is set to TRUE.
  - The second you get off the raft, onRaft is set to FALSE.
  - Disconnecting while onRaft is true will teleport you to the beginning of the river (or they can have a second variable to label what your last stop was or where you entered or something and teleport you there)
  - At the beginning of the Housing Flyer method, put a simple if that checks to see if onRaft is true or false. If false, it carries on like normal, if true, nothing happens. You don't even need a pop-up, but those are simple to do since they most likely have a template for the text boxes precoded.
  - For Return Coupons, this is where it will get less elementary, but still rather easy for the coders. Go into the map and label all the parts on the river and on the banks where the Hobgoblins spawn. This can be done with coordinates or placing an invisible mesh on the area. Simple stuff for someone capable of creating something as complex as Mabinogi. In the Return Coupon method, after it teleports you, instantly check where they teleported. If they are in the river area, boot them someplace else and delete their Return Coupon.
  
  The hardest part will be labeling the inaccessable areas of the rafting course, but like I said, it should be painfully easy for those who coded the game. After the supply of Return Coupons have been diminished using the most difficult of the fixes, no more will be created because of the simple nature of the fix above. I mean, how can you go wrong with a boolean and an if?

  There is no right or wrong for these kind of stuffs, just suck it up. Most players tend to go for the easy way out, while the players who play the game the way the developers intended (ie. ME? I'm probably one of the few non-modding players left.) will probably lose out.
  
  Then again, even I am not playing the game they way they intended for. I'm practically bypassing the IP block, so meh, whatever.
