It is obvious you are stuck with your faulty ideas, and incapable of seeing basic reason. Done trying to explain it. hopefully some actual discussion will spark up and not be drowned out by more pointless back and forth between you and I. Respond if you like, but I'm dropping this tangent.

Not resorting to personal insults on Mabination, I'm obviously whatever you say I am.
It's pretty presumptuous of you to determine why a player trains something though.
A player has to be training something to progress in this game.
For example someone who chooses to train playing instrument compared to his friend who chooses to train fishing first could be for no reason at all.
Not necessarily because he wants one before the other, maybe he wants both done for dex, but just wants to start somewhere.
Now, after they both finish their first choice of life skills, nexon on their whim decides to make playing inst 50 times easier, compared to his friend, I would call this guy screwed. My choice of words.

Hei has a good point. Typical logic does not apply to the relative value of virtual goods.
Powerful Spirit Weapons require an insane amount of both time and resources compared to the cost of these new upgraded/enchanted weapons. The problem is that spirit weapons are largely outclassed by their vanilla counterparts, despite the fact that the future potential for Spirit Weapons is significant. Should DevCat remove the spirit weapon level cap, it would take months for spiritless players to catch up. The vast majority of players would likely never obtain a spirit weapon capable of surpassing upgraded options, thus destroying their relative worth.

This is what really makes me want devcat to FINALLY upgrade ego weapons the most. I mean, I'll probably still use my ego even AFTER I upgrade my weapons to their maximum potential, but that won't change the fact that my ego would probably be weaker than them.
Personally though, I'm not a hardcore player to the point where I pursue the very best weapons and enchants.

I'm using the upgrade paths available on JP wiki... there are three current upgrade paths:
305-a: 44 max, 52% crit
305-b: 50 max, 44% crit
305-c: 47 max, 48% crit
Gem upgrade effectively adds +2 max and 100 range... and bows with different end stats than these (all the ones in NA so far) have higher stats because they are dropped items of higher grade than base. I gave an example of the max damage path, simply because I wanted to see how much max the bow could reach after upgrades and the best +max enchants available.
Ah, that makes sense. If what I did earlier was true, then a Glorious Caliburn Highlander Bow with the 305-a path with +3 max and crit, making it the damage I posted (50 max and 56% crit) would have 101 max and 73% crit. Compared to a Ring Bow ego, if it had the max crit damage upgrades, it'd outclass the Ring Bow only in crits, but the Ring Bow would still do higher damage without crits. This really discourages me......What's the point in having a bow with 159 max with bow mastery and level 40 stats, when I can make one that does close to that damage/is 10 points off with +6 S, yet has LOADS more crit and only 200 less range =/. Although, the Ring Bow outclasses it completely with level 50 stats, but we all know how hard that is. One more thing, the repair costs of that Highlander.......Bleep....

Ya I don't know what the path would be but maybe they give you a chance to do S and R upgrades to the ego too, but make it something differnt, maybe a new SKILL that is based on a combination of stat levels. Like maybe level 30 dex + level 30 int = overupgrade 1 of so (character dex stat boost) or str luck and will level 30 = overupgrade of (character max damage and crit boots)Thus balancing the issue. Maybe it would give a duel glow of the overupgrade color + social one.
Also figure out a way so you can poisen your ego. This is a big weakness to ego on boss mobs. (although i use snakes alot)
I like this idea.

I read that discussions for improving ego weapons are underway... and could mean anything from just uncaps or allowing for +crit damage depending on social level and so on. I think letting ego weapons be stronger as well as having + crit damage would be the right buff to let them overcome the new upgrades.

Or nerf the current upgrades. They add too much damage.

the upgrades are an answer to elite missions where things have like 8k hp and 60-75% prot. they arent meant for people running inter level missions. Even though people will use that to thier advantage.

That sounds like a valid reason. Then they should buff ego weapons as well.

I'm curious, exactly when would a R type upgrade become better than a S type? Example being, I'm going to have a Rich Crocodile Claymore that'll have 43% crit and 155 max, (175 with Sword Mastery). If I add in my enchants, I'll have the max crit chance on every NORMAL HM monster. Would having the extra crit damage be a lot more useful than the extra max? What about with the Highlander Long Bow I posted? 101 max and 73% crit. No, actually, crit damage should be better as archery loves crits.

But I wish the Healing Wand Ego Incarnation would be changed.
Attack if you click on an enemy.
But something different if you click on an ally. :P
SUPER SPLASHY WOUND HEALING RAYS OF LIGHT.
But social level -> extra crit damage AND +damage% would make them something awesome.

How cool would it be if the healing wand could SAP hp from the enemy, so when you use heal/party heal... it adds unto the heal spell. Higher social means you can sap more hp from the enemy.
For example, at level 40 social, the healing wand can sap 40 hp per hit. Then when you cast heal, you heal an additional 40 hp per charge, or if you use party heal, you heal only an additional 20 hp for one charge.
