I've seen people call him QB, but why not just type out Kyubey? xD
It reminded me of a rice cake or something.

.-. QB is also the same pronounciation.
You answered it partly. :p You didn't mention the part about going forwards
and backwards. And no QB is not. QB comes out as kyubi, when the name is pronounced instead like kyubei. I had always thought the translators' choice for spelling and the show's choice pronunciation was odd until we finally learned what his full name/role was.

I think a more accurate reason for the ending is this:
The rules of the universe still need to be balanced out so the despair/hate of the world/universe has to take some form. Thus the demons are born out of this hate/despair and the Puella Magi's new role is to battle these creatures made from the distortions of the Universe Madoka created. It's the consequence essentially. No wish is ever perfect.

Yes in an alteranate timeline where no one but Homura remembers Madoka.
But Sayaka dies because she falls into dispair and that can't be changed.
I saw her talking to her though, and Pulli Magi that have been turned into witches already cannot be turned back?

@runes
I guess Homura with her ability to transend time is probably the last Mahou Shoujo left to fight them untill it's all over.
Madoka can talk to Homura because she's the only one who remembers Madoka. The timeline everyone presently is in does not have any witches at all. It was made when Madoka removed all of them in the previous timeline.
In this timeline, Mahou Shoujos are actually real protectors of peace and only die when they run out of magic, die from fighting or from dispair.

I'm guessing that Madoka has the ability to speak with others before she takes them away. Also Madoka rewrote those rules when she obtained her God like powers. She did say she would Eliminate ALL witches. Past, Present, AND Future. So there is no way there could be witches because she would absorb their despair and their soul gem would vanish before they ever became a witch.

Think of that scene like the standard scene when a soul is spending its last moments on earth before the Grim Reaper takes it to its final destination. Bleach, Dead Like Me, etc. showcase similar scenes. Except in Magicka, Ma[s]GOD[/s]oka visits you personally instead of sending some shinigami/grim reaper, but only if you're a Magi who died in the line of duty.
Mami and Kyouko survive because their deaths were related to witch attacks. Since Witches no longer exist, those two will continue to live until the destined time when they would naturally have become Witches. The same can be said for any Magi who was killed by a Witch before they could become one, and any Magi killed by a Magi will not be affected by this rule change. I still wonder what events would have led Sayaka to the exact same end, though, since Madoka was directly tied into Sayaka learning she was no longer human. There shouldn't have been nearly enough grief for her to meet that end nearly as soon as she did when Madoka was still in her existence.
She's doomed to die because she can't approach the boy she likes after she saves him because of her low self esteem. Then to rub salt over the wound, her friend makes a move on him.
Magi still die when they fall to dispair.

Pretty much this. It's the main reason why she fell into despair in the first place. Seeing the bad things people do in our world also didn't help matters much I would imagine. *remembers the Train Scene*

So, was Charlotte shown as a Magical Girl anytime in the anime? I found an interesting picture, but it's probably just fanart...

Yes, but her despair when Madoka was still not a Magi stemmed from learning the harsh truths of what a Magi truly was, not just from her low self-esteem. She effectively gave into despair when she learned the purpose of the gem on her neck, but she only learned that because a certain someone was foolish enough to do a certain something with said gem. My point isn't that she wouldn't have fallen to despair, but that it actually should have happened later than it did, especially since it's depicted as happening around the same time.

She was a Magical Girl at one point in the distant Past I would imagine but in the timeline that the anime itself takes place, she never was a Magical Girl at any time nor was she shown as one either as far as I'm aware of.
