Oh right.
Lol I totally didn't expect it to happen so soon althought i knew Mami wasn't gonna live in the series.
Well keep watching, the plot is good.
Besides, it's Shaft's first original series.
Yeah it just happened so soon. The mood was so happy, and it just changed all of a sudden.

^ You got Shafted.
No srsly, they're like Gainex .-.

I think this series would've been pretty boring if it was just magical girls fighting against witches so I'm pretty happy with the direction it took :3

The whole point of the series was to NOT make it a generic magical girl series.

wait, wat? Gainex?
Ya don't click on that if you don't want spoilers...
Regardless of finished it. The ending sorta felt unfullfilling though. It's like, they still have to fight. And now Madoka just can't die...
What do you mean? Madoka basically exists as a god. She's the jesus of mahou shoujos who bears all their suffering. It's the best ending that could happen to this series.

Spoiler tag? ._.
Not that I care, but presumably some people haven't seen it and it's not an anime I'd be happy with getting spoiled xD

Puella Magi Kazumi Magica: The Innocent Malice
Description:
Kazumi is surrounded by the darkness, with voice calling her out from somewhere. After she escape from the darkness that is inside a suitcase, what appears before her eyes are unknown room and unknown man. In that incident, what come crossed her mind is fragments of memories.
Puella Magi Oriko Magica
Description:
Even though the TV anime ended, Puella Magi will not.
Who could be the girl that stands in front of Mami and Kyouko?
Stay tuned for volume one of the official spin-off comic "Puella Magi Oriko Magica", which shows another fight that was not depicted in Mami's, Kyouko's as well as Homura and Madoka's TV anime!!
I just hope it's not gonna be like franchised like pokemon, with the first season being awesome and subsequent seasons getting crappier.

My favorite character didn't show up after episode 3 and I still kept watching--a testament to how gripping the show is. Considering how good the pacing of the show was all throughout, I was a little disappointed by the ending. It was... an appropriate one, probably one of the only appropriate paths the show could take for its ending, but I felt a bit cheated after all of that buildup. I do, however, wish that the transition into the climax had been a bit better. Compared to the controlled tension and pacing masterfully used in earlier episodes, the resolution was handled in a manner that was pretty abrupt.
Edit: @Sayoko--I am glad to see that they're planning to do more with the universe established by this show.

Yeah, I really thought she was gonna come back...! Like, I thought Madoka would wish her back, or something.
Homura is definitely my favorite character though.

When I first started watching this I didn't get the beginning. I never did understand Homura throughout most of the series as her true reasons for her actions weren't fully revealed until episode 10. That's when it all finally made sense.
I also found Episode 10 to be the most heart breaking episode as well.

Nothing is more tragic than repeating the same time line over and over again to try and help a person you hold dear to you, only for you to drift farther and farther away from that person as you repeat the same events over and over again.
