Mod vs hacks?

  Anyway, I wrote my previous post in a way to make it clear I'm only stating what someone else said and that I didn't test it myself. My post did not contain a "I'm sure it's true!", "I beleive in what he said" or anything of the sort. The only thing close to believe would be my "I don't know if it changed eversince". But such a line is simply based on the possiblity that he might be right.

  Do this. Ego glitch is easy to reproduce. Just get like 7 stars, hell, the number of stars you wish. At the dock double click at the ego button on your game "taskbar" and click it again to close the ego dialogue before your ego starts talking. It should be almost the same speed as opening a folder in windows
  And talk to the native. If done correctly, the rewards should change.
  
  Just do it yourself and if your client is clean, you'll see 0 mods are needed for it. And it's the last day anyway, after tomorrow maintenance this will be fixed

  Just because hacking into the pentagon is bad, doesn't mean there isn't people trying to hack into it and reporting those security breaks. If you were that "anti-mod" like you show yourself, you would fill a detailed report about how to do it and send it to nexon so they could fix that exploit.

  Thing is.. I'm also a realist. I lost hope that nexon will do something about it.. So it feel kinda useless to report people.
  
  I reported a guy for Fireball Dll in the past and given obvious proof of such wrongdoing.
  You know what?
  I still see the guy playing mabinogi even now and seem like he never got into trouble as of yet.
  
  If reporting was trully an efficient way of stoping cheaters in mabinogi, I would still be doing it.
  
  Heck.. Some gamebreaking mod/glitch have been around for such a long time.. it's almost obvious that they exist.. yet nexon seem to do nothing about them.. They probably don't have the power to fix them and have to wait for dev-cat to do it for them. If it was an unkown glitch, it might be worth mentionning it to nexon..well.. it's still only a faith "might" in the end.

  i reported a FB dll haxor dood once too..
  they told me soemthing like this:
  "hey, you are playing from outside of North America according with your IP log, about your report, there is no chance for some to do something like that, hackshield would detect and autoban that person.. then again, you shouldn't use ilegal programs for bypass our ip block"
  
  so nexon NA rather to have haxor players than overseas players.. nice

  It is this sort of thinking that I am opposed to. It is perfectly reasonable to choose for yourself not to make use of these glitches, mods, hacks, cheats, or whatever you want to call them. You can justify that choice any way you like. But wishing harm on people because they make a different decision than you is pretty unacceptable to me. I think if a person has such extreme and frankly violent thoughts over something trivial as a game, there is a serious problem and that person is far more a danger to society than someone who cheats on a video game ever could be.

  We're not talking of dll exploits. Those are close to impossible to detect. However the rafting ego glitch, since you're so concerned about it why didn't you let nexon know about it? They fixed in korea on the g13 patch, developers don't play the game intensively like we do, they'll never have a clue if there's a glitch if nobody reports it.
  
  Just because nexon fails doesn't mean bugs/glitches/exploits shouldn't be reported.
  
  For example alexina lag, you really expected them to know about the lag if wasn't for players spamming the forum and their ticket system with complaints?

  Can you, as an individual define what is trival and what is not? If yes, then another individual can choose what is trival and what is not.
  
  Personally, I see no evil in ending the life spam of people who transgressed the rights of other people. The moment someone transgresse the right of someone, they lose part of their own rights to let other people fix the problem since you normally wouldn,t be able to fix the problem if you also had to transgresse rights. Fastess and most efficient way is to plug out the root of the evil which is the Transgresser so I abide by that.
  Anyone who has the ability to transgresse the rights of other people are more than enough of a threat to society.

  I mod and im not walking in the river screwing other people raft runs. When some people who don't mod are walking in the river screwing my rafting runs. I can't even replicate that glitch anyway
  I mod and i still have to run dungeons to get gold while there's people who doesn't mod and all that does is pull out their credit card and buy gold from bots
  And cause i mod and im in the same situation as arufonsu, i have to get nx ingame, which means there's a huge risk of getting scammed by the people who don't mod.

  Mods to encourage abusing a flawed game. That makes it even worse. Abusing a glitch is one thing. But using mods to assist in glitching is even worse!
  
  Just because the game is poorly designed and Nexon isn't doing anything doesn't mean you have to ruin it for the rest of us legit players!

  It has never required a mod, this "Synthetiser" is either uninformed or BSing you. Test it yourself if you don't believe me.
