You can't get gems or the secondary ores without doing the mini game correctly.

I... see. But at around Rank F I'm not getting anything for doing it. Is it not guaranteed or am I too low rank for any rewards? Do I have to get all four markers correctly in place to get something or does it not matter with just at least one?

As far as I know you need to hit all 4 markers and it's still a relatively low chance.

Climactic Crash damage maginification.
Although, puppet is more of a set up for other combos now, really, but doesn't hurt to have that reforge. Other reforges for bars aren't as relevant.

Climactic Crash Damage. Wire Pull, Puppet's Snare, and Act 9 are worthless, Act 1 and 2 are somewhat decent but are low priority moves, and Act 4 and 6 are good assuming you're using the full puppet area of effect rotation.
There's also elemental (if it can go on control bars, correct me if I'm wrong), but its classified as one-handed weapon so it has level limitations, I think.

Elemental reforges cannot go on control bars whatsoever.

That's basically about what you want, but as you get stronger, you'll see the need of puppet for damage less and less.

Out of curiosity, are there any other weapon exceptions such as guns or shurikens?

Weapons that can have elemental reforges:
Swords
Lances
Blunts
Axes
Knuckles
Scythes
Bows and Crossbows
Atlatls
Everything else cannot have an elemental reforge. Guns used to be able to have elemental reforge in KR server, but there are very few left now.

For what reason was there to nerf/derank Summon Golem's Windmill back then? I mean, was it even considered remotely overpowered or such?
-
Yanm wrote on 2015-09-06 07:07
Golems in the past used to be far stronger than players at the time, and made being a melee type a bit pointless. Before the nerf to it, and the golems size, they could wm every single barrier spike in Provocation. It took far less AP to get golems that had 777 damage while you'd have to spend a ton of AP to get even close to their damage. The wm nerf is more so that they could wm entire rooms by just standing in the middle and that was seen as centralizing. Also, back then, SS Elite had parties that required people to have r1 Golem and its respective alch skills, if not, you'd get kicked.

What the fuck, that is scary as hell. Chandelier and Giant Gold Spider forms give huge boosts to Windmill due to their size, but its nowhere near that large.
The irony how players are now stronger than the Golems.

For what reason is that ironic, specifically?

The level of raw strength between the Golem and player character have become inverted...?
I don't understand what you're trying to ask.
