  Taunes MK3s have 38+26(max at end of upgrades on perfect and its artisan) or +64 maximum over dowras, at the cost of requiring an attack speed set to use way of the gun the same or virtually the same depending on if your connection is with the upper 1% of mabi players. And the bullet count is a PAIN to deal with. I end up using my dowras because of how much I abuse bullet storm into shooting rush, the instant 1000% damage on most if not all targets is insanely killer, which Taunes cannot apply with mobs larger than 6(8 with +bullets).
  
  Additionally, Taunes suffer from balance issues. Mine has 6% balance and I only cap with the help of an elegant enchant.

  I thought they were not considered melee wand at all and blaze always was weaker with a staff when I saw it. Apparently not.

  The materials needed to make those don't cost much, and you can also buy a r2 one for like 6 mil, which isn't hard to make.
  
  As for Taunes MK vs Dowra, it's your preference. Some things to note though:
  
  Taunes needs WOTG AS hat to make it effective in WOTG.
  You need a high balance roll.
  Short clip size, which can be annoying when using Shooting Rush.
  
  Overall, Taunes ~can~ be more useful for Shooting Rush but Dowra in general will be more useful.

  You mean - 15 durability? I believe that was the sole reason for using cooking pots.

  From my understanding it was that, and the race accessibility, yeah.
  But now there's a guard cylinder, it's classified as "cylinder/shield/steel" so wouldn't that allow Arc Lich for a -750 CP shield?

  No, arc lich is only allowed on weapons, which a guard cylinder isn't considered.
