Quote from Whyrainfalls;316735:
Hitler was a poor leader, but a great motivator.
He was able to win people's hearts, and that's what really made him powerful.
He let other people do major decision making after they had already given him their hearts.
This.
His only positive quality was his ability to get people riled up. Besides that, he was a not very smart. Supposedly, one of the key reasons why Germany lost in the war was because he decided to go against the advice of his top generals. Noobcake got way over-confident.

In response to the OP's thought that Hitler was a great leader: I would say that it depends on what you mean by a great leader. If being a great leaders is merely being able to rally people to your cause and speak well, then Hitler was certainly a fantastic leader. However, I am a strong believer in objective morality so I think that a truly great leader should also hold accurate moral ideas (by which I basically mean he should be moral). Would the OP care to define or at least describe "a great leader"?

I love Hitler
All my essays somehow include Hitler.
Go Hitler!
On a seriously note. He WAS a great military leader but for rather a devastating cause. Somewhat.

I don't see what's so great about him. o_o
So he preached how good Germany was after WW1.
It's like listening to emo music after you get your heartbroken.
Nothing special.

When you're too poor to buy bread and your country is in shambles, you want someone to blame, and you don't want to be told that the country's debt is your fault. It's somewhat similar to how student voters went crazy over Obama and the "Hope" and "Change" that he promised. The Nazi movement didn't spring up overnight; it took years and years of planning and crushing opposition parties to obtain the following they had at its height.
