I'm new to this game and was wondering why Animal Taming was counted as a necessary skill.
EDIT: also what about an ego weapon? I read on some post I forget which that you recommended Gladius for the ego weapon. My friend however recommended bastard sword because it does more damage with windmill. So why did you pick gladius over bastard sword?
I'll comment on both this users post and the overall guide. Keep in mind that the best weapons are not only rare, but blacksmithed versions are nearly impossible to obtain.

2. Ignore Animal Taming. That skill is only needed for the completion of G8. While it's more difficult to rank with higher CP, you have no real reason to rank it.
3. The spirit Gladius is much better than the spirit Bastard sword. The Bastard adds around two average damage at the cost of 25 critical.
4. Transformation Comparison
