As was mentioned above, Goblins and the like are Fomors, not Fomorians. And they don't wear clothing simply because they're culture (what little there may be) doesn't care about nudity.
As for the Fomorian symbol, it seems to be their mark for everything, to let you know that it's theirs. They wear it on their clothes, it's on their tents, their command scrolls, they even make it appear on their magical barriers just do you know it's them. I think it's an ego thing for them. They don't want you to forget. But it seems likely it's just an aesthetic thing and has no other significance.
Also remember Goblins are Native to iria as well (goblin keeper, masked goblins, hobgoblins) and they stated that there are no fomor in iria.

I rest easy every night knowing that there are a few dozen less Fomor/ians terrorizing the good people of Erinn thanks to me. Remember, genocide is ok if it's against the right thing XP

They actually don't, they're sealed in dungeons/shadow realm/TNN
*cough*
g2barrikoboldminers*cough*
In g9-12 humans go in and attack the fomors who are running around in the shadow realm.

What about the wars fought between humans and fomors before dungeons existed?

the humans started that too when Morrighan told them "FOMORS EVIL GO KILL".
(even though she betrayed the fomors + partholonians + probably the rest of the gods (Falias is a CITY of the gods, yet theres only 4 or 5 gods?)

My opinion on the matter is that anything that drops a fomor scroll, is obviously not a fomor has has been established here. Only thing is, fomors themselves are a very mysterious race. We know little about them, besides the obvious that they want to take over TNN blah blah blah. I personally think Cichol himself isn't a fomor, but controls them. This would lead you to believe that fomors aren't very intelligent, since they are controlled so easily, and have never as far as we know had an uprising or rebellion. On the other side, they seem to have free will, as when they stopped following Cichol. The fact that they take many different forms leads me to believe that there are multiple subspecies, instead of them just wearing different armor.
Also, fomors seem to have a home world, which they either return to disembodied when they die, which would explain the near infinite supply of them in this game as they could regenerate, or they would be born there, and reproduce extremely rapidly. As for their fighting abilities, they seem to be stronger than most average Tuatha De Dannans (spelling?), but inferior to Milletians. Their tactics are often better than i think most give them credit for, having a few archers with some warriors, creating a situation where they almost always win (except for the fact that Milletians are superior). This leads me to believe that they possibly have some form of education, which is why some can speak English.

Their leader, Cichol, is obviously inferior to Morrighan since he was created by her, which makes the events of Generation 1 strange. My theory on this is that the fomors have been growing in power. It makes sense, because honestly, before they just fought us in normal wars which we won. A while later, they suddenly gain the power to destroy the soul stream itself and overpower the force that created them.
Where do you get the idea that Cichol was created by Morrighan? As far as I remember there is no mention on this.

I remember hearing somewhere that Morrighan created Fomors to get rid of the Parthalon. Maybe that info is wrong, but i'm pretty sure it isn't...

What you're remembering is that Morrighan convinced Cichol to bring a plague on the Partholon. The Fomorians existed prior to this. In fact that Partholon and the Fomorians were at war at the time.

I have the feeling Morrighan's true plan is just to have endless war and death.

I've always thought Cichol was a Demigod, for the wings, definitely isn't a Fomor in that sense or a regular God, dunno I read someone's theory about the Wing colors indicating power/rank among the Gods
