expecting people to be able to spell a five-letter word with nothing remotely difficult (as opposed to something like Glas Ghaibbleann) that is pretty much integral to the plot of the game is not all that unreasonable is it?

Partly-revived, perhaps? Like, his form, but not his skills/power? ;l
Is the spelling of Fomor integral to the plot? Nope, not really. Just the word/idea.
If it were so obvious, you'd think more than 70% of the Mabi population would know how to spell it perfectly.
As a side note, I've always spelled it 'Fomor', but pronounced it 'Former'.
I'm not entirely sure why, either. o_O
For the duration of the skill, it makes little difference, as it does enough damage for Def to not matter a great deal. Also, with unlimited experience for Eclipse of Wings, as Morrighan has, Def/Prot have very little purpose for her.
On the other hand, Neamhain vs Cichol would be luls.

Maybe Cichol has a special version which lets him collect unlimited shadows?
Before anyone starts going all technicalitynazi, I realize that technically the Milletians are the ones with the 'special version'.

It's not. he's always had that. It's hard to notice sometimes because usually in cut scenes his feet are behind the dialogue, but he's always had that shadow there. Shadow Spirit is HIS ability, not only would he have it, his would be more powerful than ours, so obviously he could absorb more shadow than us. I'll bet her doesn't lose exp when he uses it either.
Dramatic effect? I didn't really notice it. I guess I could take a trip to dunbarton and visit the ball though.

And then on the topic of his bigger shadow, I can't watch the end of G12 it seems, but in G11 when he's dying it surges as well, so it was doing that before anything in G12 happens.
