is it normal for a lann to be contributing only 1 - 6% of the boss damage?

  Ahh I know you might not really be the person to ask, I should ask a hybrid Lann, but I play A LOT better with spears than swords, but some people say spear Lanns are kicked from raids/parties in the higher level runs. Would it be better to play as sword or spear then, almost all my skills are set in equal ranks?

  My advice, for raids I recommend it to do it with your guilds/friends, i.e. with people you trust.
  
  People who kick you from raids for being spear lanns are elitist, and are usually not so pro themselves. Don't take it personally, trolls will be trolls.
  
  That being said, I can assure you that spears are not obsolete at higher level runs. If I was a hybrid lann, this is how I would do my raids
  
  - Titan (Swords) - Much easier to hug titan and do dmg with swords.
  - THOR (Spears) - I don't know why, but I always see spear lanns do insane damage to THOR, a good spear lann will always get top dmg in this run.
  - Glas (Swords/Spear) - If you have a great balista person who can keep glas stun locked, go with spears. Otherwise swords, as he is really difficult to dodge with spears.
  - Golem (Swords/Spears) - If you are more comfortable with spears go with it, golem is not really hard to dodge.
  - Ingkells (Swords/Spears) - Both are good, but in your case if you are really good with spears, then go with spears in this raid
  
  I hope I helped? Good luck :) and max SP: Slashing High, when you first trans, use slashing high, spam spin2win or slip dash, then go in 2nd trans mode, you'll do some good damage !
  
  Don't mean to double post, but here's my view on (good) staff evies
  
  - They are OP, but that doesn't mean they should be nerfed. They are helpful in every run.
  - They are vital as they can drop corona's that can be live saving at times
  - Their SP: Reverse Gravity is very helpful to dish out damage. That, imo, should be the only time an evie should use RG, to help the team dish out damage.
  RG should not be used when your party is far away from the boss, or when most of them are dead on the ground. (Hate when people do that)
  - Their Mana Amber makes them a great tank
  - They help the team a lot when you are out of feather with Revive!
  
  However, I will say that staffs are easier to play then lanns. Although I have not played an evie myself, I have guild mates with both lv 60+ evies & lanns, who has the same view as me. The skill curve for lanns are higher than evies, but that does not mean evies are those who are bad at lanns. Some people chose evies for their game style and fanservice, as someone mentioned earlier, and that's perfectly fine.
  
  The only evies I hate are the egoistic and elitist ones :) that being said, in most of my pug runs, I can usually shut them up with my 13.7k attack :)

  I honestly feel that you can apply the Glas logic to Titan for better effect. The ballistae in Titan have many more spears then the one in Glas, and you can only rely on Goddess Judgements a few times every few minutes. The stun time is also even longer on Titan (I don't play a Lann, but I get 1 Amaranth + 1 Petal Toss on Glas, 2 Amaranths + 1 Petal Toss on Titan), meaning that even having to run away every 30 seconds will still allow you to do good damage with how long Titan stays stunned.
  
  No first hand experience though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

  I guess so, but that's if you are going for a speed kill. I always do Titan with break, and swords are better for that.
  
  And the glas logic requires people who are good at balista, I've seen some HORRIBLE people on balista...it drives me up the wall! lol

  I know what you mean with ballista. I always just presume the ballistae user is incompetent. Therefore I'd probably use Swords if I was a Lann with randoms.
  (That's why I never use the ballista myself, but...)

  (Tbh, every raid can be pugged, with plenty of baddies. You don't need to be super skilled at a spear lann to succeed.)

  i've got a 6x evie, fiona and spear lann and i really wouldn't say that any of them were any easier to play than the others. my 5x karok maybe as long as there isn't any lag. a lann sprint-smash to gf will get you farther faster than a staff floor scoot will.

  Plus you forget not all spear Lann's are terrible, you just happen to get stuck with sucky ones.
  
  Edit: Lann's skills require the most skill to utilize efficiently, I would understand a lot of new gamers would choose Lann because he simply looks cool. That is why most Lann's suck.

  But I would say all of them take equal amount of effort to master. If raidhunter wasn't an Lann, he probably would be as godly with Fiona or Evie.
  
  It's the amount of time you put in that counts, plus the gears.
  
  14k ATT and 13k ATT gives no difference on gnoll chieftain, but it is a huge difference in hero queen. (one of the reason I don't like Vindictus that much anymore, instead of focusing on skill, they are focusing on gear much more)
