That's why it's called member of the MONTH.
You so nub.

You're all nub. Let's stay on topic now.
I think a month will be alright because it gives the chosen member a big chunk of time to show off.
It also makes winning even more special.

Sounds good to me D:
I like the PM thing more, I don't like automating these things.
Don't even have to write a PM just the subject "nomination: <username>". And I can make a user account dedicated to that stuff so Fal's inbox won't flood.
And speaking of Fal I haven't seen her in a while o.o

Well then, Osay. You should make a thread and orchestrate it. MY JOB HERE IS DONE.

You're kidding right? Favoritism and Spam would win this in a second.

Not necessarily. Like I said before, this worked perfectly fine on a forum, gosh, lord knows how many times bigger than this one.
One nomination per person. Each person can be nominated one time. Mods choose who win.

Agree with Saani (since mainly we were also at the same forum before and it worked there)
You just have to have a set of rules like The same person who wins one month can't win the next two months?
These were the rules at my previous forum
Rules:
- You may only make one nomination.
- You may not nominate yourself.
- You cannot nominate someone who's already won in the past two months.
- Must have 50+ posts to nominate.
- Staff may not make nominations, but they can name members who stand out to them.
- Only one nomination per member is necessary.
- Staff makes a poll backstage and votes for the current month's nominees.
- Mentors are not eligible. However, you may vote for them as Staff Member of the Month.
We obviously don't have to go by the same but this is just an example of how it is possible.

If you organize it, take in nominations, and then give us a list of people who got nominated, we can do it. June is almost over so you can start it for July, and we can do it at the start of each month.

I say change the "person can only have one nomination" rule to "person needs two nominations to qualify". That way, it reduces the number of nominees considerably, and in the end has people that others want in it, not have someone already nominate their choice, and then have to nominate someone they don't really care for. And let the nominees have as many nominations as they can have. Again, prevents people from choosing someone they don't want. Of course, the person is still limited to the "one nomination to give out" rule.

What would the nominee win?
