Yoorah being constructive
hah that's funny
Good for you!
Nope. Those people say that stuff due to being stupid, hateful, uncompassionate and uneducated. They also happen to be American, but I guess that's besides the point!
My point (and it's not really my point--there are far more qualified people who've made this judgment) is that a recession can have constructive results, both economically and socially. That housing bubble has finally been burst, there are more financial safeguards and regulations, etc. Studies have also shown that the recession made people happier with their lives, as they focus more on family than whatever mundane crap they've been preoccupied with when "times were good." The divorce rate dropped, too.
But nice try!
Never implied that. :3 But the fact that this kind of crazy stuff happens all around the country on this day--over shopping, does tell you something.
Gotta love it when people pointlessly QQ, without really thinking first. xP
Read about it this morning, and all I can say is... lolamericans. What a bunch of savages. Apparently there was a shooting at another store.
Love how you stereotype all American people.
As I said earlier, I am American.
Today, at the Black Friday Sale, a fully grown man hit my 5 year old daughter for an Xbox. In anger, I punched the guy and gave him a bloody nose. I'm now banned from Best Buy, and my daughter has a concussion. FML
You totally missed the point of what Chillax was saying. Those people were saying stupid Anti-Japanese crap. You were saying stupid Anti-American crap. Your 'point' has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
Quoted from your earlier post. Heavily implied that you were stereotyping all Americans.
It's kind of sad when people lack reading comprehension skills. :( American kids rank pretty poorly in the world in math and science, dunno about reading.. maybe it could be an explanation for your post? I mean, I already explained to you that a recession could help straighten people (and the country as whole) out--it did have this effect already, but clearly not good enough... given by what happened. It's not "stupid Anti-American crap" unless you want to see it that way. Spend less time getting butthurt over petty stuff, and more time thinking. o/

I mean, seriously?
Those people need another recession or two, to get them off of this disgusting consumer spending culture. I'm not even sure if this kind of behaviour deserves the word "culture" associated with it... A recession or two will make people more happy.
But, um.. happy thanksgiving, I guess? lol
Americans rank low in reading comprehension skills because standardized testing is almost always given in the language of English, without secondary options for the percentage of the population which is currently learning the English because it was not spoken in the home/the family recently immigrated. All of the schools in my local district have failed to meet district standards because of this (looking at scoring of those which speak the language in the home, or have lived in the US a majority of their life, the levels meet and exceed district standards).
Good job shoving the fault onto the minorities. ^^

hah, Yoorah telling other people to think
but US universities have international recognition
unlike Canadian universities.

#4. It Turns Americans Into Sale-Crazed Lunatics
What You Think:
Before going near a retail store on Black Friday, you should make sure your life insurance is paid up. If the news is any indication, you're going to be dealing with a bunch of feral materialists. Every year brings more tales of shoppers fighting or killing each other. It's as if the entire country is driven CRAZY by these great deals, but instead of slashing prices like the owner of Crazy Eddie's mattress emporium, they're taking it out on each other.
But Actually:
It seems like people are more violent on Black Friday because the national media doesn't pay attention to violence at retail stores until it happens on Black Friday. Wesley Strellis walked into a Walmart a little after noon, picked up a metal bat from the sporting goods section, carried it to electronics and methodically destroyed 29 flat screen TVs. There's the case of the 55-year-old man who punched a 72-year-old store greeter in the face for asking to see his receipt, and the guy who walked into a Walmart and pissed on a case of steaks. And who can forget the man who lit three racks of clothes on fire in the men's department when Walmart wouldn't let him return an item. There are crazy people in this world who do crazy things. Often times at Walmart. CNN didn't report on any of those stories because why would they?
"Ho-hum, just another March gunfight at the mall."
...
Educated people are perfectly capable of being stupid, hateful, and uncompassionate, assuming you are educated. Your love of and seeming belief in stereotypes don't help matters.
Nice try:

Your comments are similar in nature to the very people you condemn. Of course I would speak out against them.
The reason this is in the news is because it's so incredibly uncommon.
